📈Residential and commercial #EES experienced a great momentum in #Europe in 2023. While in general commercial storage has seen the sharpest #growth rates, according to our EES InstallerMonitor© 2023/2024 data, rooftop PV and storage installers seem sensitive to its relative growth as compared to the residential segment. The average share of smaller #storage systems (under 15 kWh of net capacity) installed in 2023 by firms from 13 European markets is 5 percentage points higher compared to our 2022/2023 report. However, significant variation can be observed across markets: 🔹The share of EES under 15 kWh has seen the biggest growth wherever the residential segment has grown the most relative to the commercial segment, like in #Italy and #Austria. 🔹Compared to 2022, the proportion of residential EES has increased by a much smaller rate (or has even declined) in markets where the commercial segment has grown more in relative terms. 🔹The growth of one segment relative to the other is reflected, although to a moderate extent, in installers' portfolios and in the demand they capture. 👉Interested in these and other insights on the PV and EES market from the eyes of PV installers? In our PV InstallerMonitor© | EES InstallerMonitor© 2023/2024 you can take a close look at the business profiles of installation companies from 14 markets, as well as at competitive analyses of PV and EES manufacturers and wholesalers. More info here: https://lnkd.in/eVarRx_T. 👉We are also happy to grant access to the Global Energy Transition GET-Matrix©, a market intelligence and data analytics dashboard providing insights into the latest regulatory and market developments in ~60 global PV markets, 365 days a year. 🔍 The impact of component delivery delays on PV module stock levels across Europen markets: insights from the PV InstallerMonitor© 2023/2024 | EES InstallerMonitor© 2023/2024 According to data from our latest report, European #installers tend to purchase larger shares of #PV modules for inventory purposes on average in markets where significant delays in PV component deliveries are most frequently reported. 📊 According to our findings, based on a study conducted with more than 1,400 installation companies in 13 European countries, the #Netherlands, #Austria, #Germany, and #Sweden are the markets where the highest shares of PV modules are purchased for stock on average: from 22 percent in Sweden to just over a quarter of modules purchased in 2023 in the Netherlands. 📊 At the same time, in these markets around 20 percent of the companies surveyed reported significant delays in component deliveries. The weight of stock purchases is also correlated, albeit weakly, with the 2022-2023 YoY growth rates of installed capacity in the BAPV segment. 🔹Installation companies seem to anticipate supply issues and secure against them by restocking their inventory more. 🔹This dynamic may have significant implications in terms of inventory devaluation: installers with higher shares of inventory may be more exposed to declining component prices. 👉Interested in these and other insights on the PV and #EES market from the eyes of PV installers? Gain a more in-depth view in our latest edition of our PV InstallerMonitor© | EES InstallerMonitor©: take a close look at the business profiles of installation companies surveyed in 14 markets, as well as at competitive analyses of PV manufacturers and wholesalers. More on the study can be found here: https://lnkd.in/eVarRx_T 👉We are also happy to grant access to the Global Energy Transition GET-Matrix©, a market intelligence and data analytics dashboard which can be accessed 365 days a year to gain insights into the latest regulatory and market developments in ~60 global PV markets. Australia's solar PV sector has experienced remarkable growth in recent years! From a cumulative capacity of approximately 11.3 GWdc in 2018, the country's solar PV capacity surged to 34.7 GWdc by the end of 2023, reflecting a robust CAGR of 25.1%. In 2023 alone, Australia added around 4.3 GW of new PV capacity, and in the first half of 2024, the nation installed an additional 1.9 GW. 🏡 Residential solar is a major contributor to this success. More than 36% of households now have rooftop solar, positioning Australia as a global leader in residential solar adoption. The country also boasts the second highest per capita deployment of solar PV globally, at roughly 1,303 Watt/person. ⚡ Solar’s Rising Share in the Electricity Mix: In 2023, solar power played a pivotal role in Australia's electricity mix, contributing 15.3%, or 41.96 TWh, to the national grid from both rooftop and utility-scale installations. Solar led the renewable energy sector, which accounted for 34% of total electricity generation, followed by wind, hydro, and bio-fuel. 📈 Growth Trends: Though growth in the PV sector has slowed in the last two years, EUPD Research projects Australia will continue adding 3.5-4 GW annually through 2028, driven by several key factors: 🔹 Capacity Investment Scheme: Targeting 23 GW of renewable generation and 9 GW dispatchable capacity by 2027, with a focus on utility-scale development. 🔹 Renewable Energy Zones (REZs): States like NSW, Victoria, and Queensland are establishing REZs to drive investment in renewable energy, storage, and infrastructure. 🔹 Energy Storage: Growing investments in energy storage will enhance grid flexibility and support renewable integration. 🔹 Policy Support: Government incentives and falling solar costs will sustain growth across all market segments. We are happy to announce EUPD Research's participation at the All Energy Australia Expo in Melbourne! For detailed discussions and insights into our latest research, please reach out to our colleague Daniel Fuchs, who will be there to represent EUPD Research Energy. Don’t miss the opportunity to connect with us and explore how our expertise can support your energy goals. See you there! #australia #allenergy #installer #pv #solar #energytransition

We are pleased to honour Alternergy's commitment to their customers and the industry with the Top PV Supplier 2024 Seal for the United Kingdom.“ - Saif Islam, EUPD Research Energy About the Top Brand PV Supplier Award: The Top Brand PV Supplier Award serves as a distinguished recognition for companies excelling in performance at both national and regional levels. This award is determined by the perception of downstream players, particularly installers, across various categories such as modules, inverters, storage solutions, racking, and wholesale services. Conducted by EUPD Research, these surveys engage thousands of installers annually across over 30 countries. The surveys meticulously cover numerous aspects, e.g. unaided brand awareness, recommendations, distribution depth, and width etc. Consequently, the Top Brand PV Award emerges from the analysis of primary data derived from these surveys.
