𝗪𝗲𝗻𝗻 𝗸𝗻𝗮𝗽𝗽 𝟭𝟱𝟬 𝗘𝗨𝗥𝗢𝗜𝗠𝗠𝗨𝗡𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗳𝗲𝗻... ...dann hat das höchstwahrscheinlich mit dem Lübeck Marathon zu tun 🏃 🏃♀️ So auch am letzten Sonntag: Bei bestem Herbstwetter legten unsere Kolleg:innen auf allen Strecken gemeinsam knapp 1.200 Kilometer zurück. Was für eine Leistung! 💥 6 EUROIMMUNer stellten sich sogar der unglaublichen Herausforderung eines Marathons und ganze 9 Staffeln haben diese Distanz durch Teamwork hinter sich gebracht. Vielen Dank an alle, die dieses Jahr für und mit EUROIMMUN als Laufende, Walkende oder Anfeuernde am Start waren. Wir sind mehr als stolz auf jeden Einzelnen von euch! 👏

After a doctor noticed rattling sounds in his lungs and numerous examinations at the pneumology department afterwards Mr. Mende received the devastating diagnosis: idiopathic lung fibrosis - a lung disease with no clear cause, no treatment options and a very poor prognosis. But Mr. Mende had a contact at EUROIMMUN and more blood tests were done for numerous autoantibodies. And indeed, rare antibodies were detected. So he was referred to the clinic for rheumatology and clinical immunology at the University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH), where he was diagnosed with necrotising myositis with lung fibrosis. This rare autoimmune disease can be treated and controlled, which now allows Mr. Mende to fully live his life.
