Limited employment options, illegal short-term work, and low wages continue to create obstacles for people on the move. Administrative delays and the suspension of the Helios integration program have made it even harder for residents to secure housing and employment, leading to further hardships. Part of the segment was filmed at our community center, Paréa Lesvos, where one of our dedicated volunteers shared his personal journey as asylum seeker on the island. The situation on #Lesvos evolves, but the needs for safe spaces doesn't change. 🧡 In the past month we introduced a new free bus service available for our visitors, providing a very needed connection between the camp and Paréa. The situation on #Lesvos evolves, but the needs for safe spaces doesn't change. 🧡 In the past month we welcomed in our centre a new partner organisation, Collective Aid, now providing clothing sets to individuals in the camp, addressing the urgent need for clothing among the camp’s residents.
