Congratulations to five years of the Parsberg-Lupburg Technology Campus In addition to Technische Hochschule Deggendorf and the East Bavarian OTH Regensburg, company founders, small start-ups and larger medium-sized companies come together on the campus to work on research and development. Since its foundation in 2019, Evosys has been conducting basic research and further pioneering work in the field of laser plastic welding on the campus as a cooperation partner. Interested persons are introduced to the technology through exciting projects and can gain experience with the various welding processes. One challenge when joining complex components is that the same clamping force is required at all points. Each weld is controlled individually with a parameterizable clamping module. In this example, four components are arranged on a rotary table side and are all processed simultaneously in one machine cycle by four individual clamping modules. Individual quality control is possible using the joining collapse monitoring integrated in the clamping module. We emphasize the importance of a simple setup concept in order to keep setup times as short as possible. A quick and intuitive tool change prevents unnecessary production downtimes and enables the problem-free production of different components on one machine. The unique advantage: In this version of an Evo 2800, either four smaller components can be processed with four clamping modules or two larger components with two coupled clamping modules. Evo2Step – 2-step joining process from EVOSYS in the fast lane The tried-and-tested Evo2Step joining process is increasingly being used again in the field of electro mobility. The 2-step welding process for components made of the same material -         saves resources -         is energy-efficient and -         environmentally friendly.   It has almost no restrictions in terms of material thickness, conductivity or color variety. The use of components of the same material enables a wider variety of plastics to choose from. This means that components from the same injection mold can also be used, as the “laser-transparent” characteristic is not necessary. Under the annual motto “With confidence towards the future”, Evosys received a finalist award at the grand finale of the 30th “Großer Preis des Mittelstandes 2024” competition.
