As expected by many in the industry, the International Longshoremen's Association (ILA) has gone on 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘀𝘀 𝟭𝟰 𝗺𝗮𝗷𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝘂𝗹𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀. Any cargo or containers not already collected from the container terminals are no longer accessible. The Golden Week is the People’s Republic of China’s most extended holiday, and it's running from 1 to 7 October 2024. Golden Week is the biggest week for tourism in China when people have a week off to reunite with families and take trips. Securing reliable, on-time freight shipments and deliveries during peak holidays is especially 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 during this time of the year in Asia. With the pre-Golden Week rush usually starting three to four weeks before the main event, many companies tend to speed up their production process to transport goods in and out of China before the public holiday. October has been declared 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝘆𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 (NCSAM) by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This month-long effort is all about spotlighting cyber security best practices and rallying everyone to combat cyber threats. This year’s theme is “𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱” with the intention to protect yourself, and your business from online dangers with simple, effective steps, which we must all take. This week, we at F.H. Bertling Logistics would like to highlight a successful shipment managed by our teams in 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗵𝗮𝗶. They recently loaded and transported three 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘀 from 𝗣𝘆𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗮𝗲𝗸, 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗞𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗮, to 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗲. Key details of the shipment include: Total volume: 187.050 MT Largest piece dimensions: 9.7m x 4.08m x 3.97m Heaviest piece weight: 62.5 MT Our scope of work includes 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁, 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 to the project site in Singapore. Despite a tight lead time and the upcoming holidays in Korea, our team ensured the cargo was loaded on time and is currently en route to its destination.
