Forschende um Sigrid Milles am Leibniz-Forschungsinstitut für Molekulare Pharmakologie (FMP) haben mittels Lösungs-NMR-Spektroskopie die 600 unstrukturierten Aminosäuren des Proteins AP180 untersucht und ein neues Interaktionsnetzwerk entdeckt. AP180 ist an der Signalübertragung zwischen Nervenzellen beteiligt, spielt eine wichtige Rolle in der Clathrin-vermittelten Endozytose und scheint an neurodegenerativen Erkrankungen beteiligt zu sein.
