The first two weeks of our 69 apprentices and dual students were all about getting to know each other and Fresenius! One highlight was a team day in the forest, where they spent a day caring for hundreds of recently planted trees near our headquarters. Working together, they not only learned the importance of sustainability and environmental protection, but also the value of teamwork. At the end of this week, we held a summer party with all apprentices and dual students. From burgers to air hockey and table football - there was something for everyone! To ensure the best possible start to their careers, our new colleagues will continue with further onboarding activities until the end of September. #DualStudies #Apprenticeship #CommittedToLife

With 11 apprenticeship and 16 dual study programs, our young talents start their trainings across various fields, from IT and logistics to science. Spinal surgeries are complex procedures requiring highest precision, as mere millimeters can be critical for patient outcomes.   Prof. Dr. med. Yu-Mi Ryang and her team at the Department of Neurosurgery and the Center of Spine Therapy at Helios Klinikum Berlin-Buch GmbH are using augmented reality (AR) to advance spinal surgeries, making Helios Berlin-Buch one of the first hospitals in Germany to use AI in neurosurgery. Today is #EarthOvershootDay – the day on which humanity has already used up all of earth’s resources for this year. It’s a very strong reminder of how important it is to use our resources carefully. Because the consequences of such an overstrain - like droughts, fires, storms and floods - are already impacting peoples’ day-to-day lives. As a global healthcare company Fresenius is #CommittedtoLife. We care for people and for our planet. Therefore, we have set ourselves clear sustainability related targets and resource efficiency is one of our focus areas. Among our priorities is the efficient use of water. By 2030, we want to reduce the process water consumption at production sites in water stressed areas by 20%. Also, we plan to halve our Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 compared to 2020. We have already reduced these emissions by 22% by 2023. By 2050, we aim to reach net zero. We just published our results for Q2/24.   Based on an excellent first half of the year, we have confirmed our outlook for fiscal 2024 and are optimistic to get the Group EBIT growth into the upper half of 6 to 10% outlook range. 📈   Here are some of the key takeaways:   ◾ Strong organic growth in Group revenue of 8% to €5.4 billion; excellent Group EBIT increase in constant currency of 15% to €660 million. ◾ Strong bottom line delivery: 15% EPS growth in constant currency. ◾ Major progress on deleveraging: Leverage ratio at 3.43x and therefore within target corridor. ◾ Strong operating cash flow development driven by working capital efficiencies and increased focus on cash generation as well as excellent operating performance. ◾ Fresenius Kabi clearly above top-end of structural growth band with very strong organic revenue growth of 11%; excellent EBIT margin at 15.9%.   ◾ Biopharma accelerating momentum: very strong revenue growth and positive EBIT in Q2 driven by licensing business at mAbxience, as well as ongoing ramp up of Tyenne.  ◾ Fresenius Helios with strong organic revenue growth of 6%; excellent EBIT margin of 11.1% driven by excellent operating performance in Spain.    Find our full press release here: https://lnkd.in/eQbw6DzE #FinancialResults #Q2 #FutureFresenius #TeamFresenius   Disclaimer: The caption is without corresponding footnotes, which can be retrieved from the slides below.
