Full of Excitement at AiDiA in Hamburg! 🚀 This weekend was absolutely inspiring! We had the chance to meet amazing individuals like Torsten Schreiber and Armand Zorn, who might join us at the Africa Impact Festival this November – stay tuned, it's going to be huge! New ideas and collaborations are brewing! What is AiDiA - Afrodeutscher Startup Pitch : It’s all about empowering Black entrepreneurs, providing them with resources to scale their brilliant ideas. The AiDiA Pitch is the first of its kind, putting Black founders' innovative ideas in the spotlight. The energy in the room was electric. The passion of the #startups was palpable, with incredible stories and innovative projects. A special shoutout to Konzoom by Cecilia Crentsil a Ghanaian startup that made it to the final round – the crowd was buzzing with excitement! This event represents the future. It's about inclusion and the mindset of coopetition, not competition, in the impact scene. Time is running out, and we need to include everyone to truly drive global change. Ich habe an vielen Events teilgenommen, aber dieses war anders 🎯✨ Selten erlebe ich Veranstaltungen, bei denen einfach alles stimmt. Das Acker Festival gestern war genau so eine Veranstaltung. Es ging um die vielen Facetten von nachhaltiger Ernährung - also ein Thema mit echtem Impact. Es war eine tolle Stimmung und die IGG Malzfabrik mbH als Location – einfach perfekt! Selbst das Essen war durchdacht: planet-friendly und getreu dem Motto: Gemüse als Helden auf dem Teller zelebrieren. Überall auf dem Gelände gab es kleine, versteckte Details, die das Ganze abgerundet haben. Ob Renate Künast, Benedikt Bösel, Arne Friedrich oder Dr. Julia Freudenberg von der Hackerschool – fast alle Speaker waren sich einig: Die Klimakrise klopft laut an unsere Tür, und Pessimismus ist definitiv keine Lösung. Wegsehen? Auch keine Option. Warten, bis sich von allein etwas ändert? Erst recht nicht. Also: Ärmel hochkrempeln und loslegen! Nicht auf „die da oben“ warten – wir alle sind Teil der Demokratie und somit der Politik. Ich bin euphorisiert nach Hause gefahren und fühle mich in unserer Food Campus Berlin Philosophie bestärkt: Technologie ist ein wichtiger Hebel für ein nachhaltiges Ernährungssystem. Aber das Wichtigste ist: mehr menschliches Miteinander! Weniger Konkurrenzdenken, weniger Silos – dafür mehr Gespräche, mehr Zuhören und vor allem: mehr Zusammenarbeit! Berlin als Epizentrum für Klima- und Umweltschutz? In Berlin Südseeinseln retten ? Geht das? Die GICA - Global Impact Capital Alliance hat es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, Stakeholder der Impact- und Environment-Tech-Szene zu connecten. Und dafür Berlin als den Hub ausgesucht. Impact Start-ups, Investoren, Politik und Umweltexperten trafen sich heute auf dem Gelände des ehemaligen Flughafens Tegel, wobei die Botschaft der Malediven als Co-Gastgeber fungierte. Malediven? Warum gerade sie? Die Antwort liegt auf der Hand: Länder wie die Malediven sind unmittelbar und drastisch von den Folgen des Klimawandels betroffen. Ihre geringe Höhe über dem Meeresspiegel macht sie besonders anfällig für die Auswirkungen des Klimawandels. Gleichzeitig kämpfen sie mit Plastikmüll, Food und Energieversorgung. Wenn also Impact Start-ups schnell einen Markt finden wollen, stoßen sie hier auf offene Ohren: 🌊 Heftige Sturmfluten verwüsten ganze Küstenregionen. 🐟 Das kostbare Süßwasserreservoir wird durch Salzwasser kontaminiert. 🪸 Und die verheerende Korallenbleiche bedroht die empfindlichen marinen Ökosysteme. 🗑️ Zu viel Müll im Meer schadet den Tieren 👉 All diese Veränderungen führen zum schwindenden Lebensraum und stellen eine existenzielle Bedrohung für die Malediven dar. Eine Bedrohung für große Teile der südlichen Halbkugel. Schließlich verlagert gerade Indonesien seine Hauptstadt schrittweise. Ein Grund dafür: der steigende Meeresspiegel. Aber sie gehen noch einen Schritt weiter und wollen in Sachen Smart City führend werden. Aus diesem Grund finde ich es bemerkenswert, dass die GICA in Berlin - dem europäischen Zentrum für Start-ups und Innovation – das Bewusstsein für dieses dringende Problem schärft! Krise schafft Chancen und das gilt in diesem Fall insbesondere für Technologie- und Impact Start-ups!   Start-ups mit herausragenden Lösungen stelle ich gerne entsprechende Kontakte her.
