Here is a throwback to the time when GKN Additive printed special filters for Schneider Electric. Those filters, printed using Metal Binder Jetting (MBJ), can withstand high pressure and extreme temperatures. The MBJ process benefited this project in several ways, including decreasing production time and cost. Read all about it: https://lnkd.in/eaJc7JSc #3DPrinting #AdditiveManufacturing #BinderJetting

Pro tip: When you place an order for 3D-printed parts, make sure you mention which surface of the part is the "show surface" (the surface that is most important from a cosmetic/aesthetic standpoint). The effect of print orientation on the physical appearance is an inherent characteristic of 3D printing. Since the parts are built layer by layer, the print orientation dictates how those layer lines appear and which faces of the part they appear on. This set of images shows the visual appearance changes that occur when printing parts at different orientations within a build (same part design, printed all in one build, but with different physical appearance results). #3DPrinting #AdditiveManufacturing #3DbyHP
