Employers' Association Workshop  At the beginning of October, our labor law attorney conducted a workshop on labor law, organized by the Bielefeld Employers' Association. The workshop was attended by our department heads and management.  After covering the basics of labor law and including a contribution from our works council, case studies were discussed and evaluated. The managers had plenty of opportunities to ask questions and exchange ideas.  A follow-up session for next year has already been requested and is currently being prepared.     #teamgundlach #teambuilding #law #laborlaw #workshop #leadership

Gundlach Academy Enters Second Round!    Fabian and Marcus introduced the second topic of the Gundlach Academy: “Efficient Production Processes by the Planning Team”. The production planning process involves a global overview of availabilities, machines, materials, and everything else related to production. It starts with a specific customer order. The planning team relies on receiving all the necessary information from Customer Service.  What’s being planned? The sequence of tasks on machines, cross-departmental coordination, material availability, and product scheduling. Key production metrics are also taken into account.    In the future, the planning team aims for greater digitalization and continuous improvement of processes.  Even colleagues with years of experience gained valuable insights and specifics during the open exchange. Exciting News! Gundlach's Emission Goals We are thrilled to announce that we are officially listed on the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) website as a company committed to reducing CO2 emissions. We are proud to set ambitious targets! Here are the goals we have set: - Align our company’s temperature to 1.5°C - Reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 42% by 2030 compared to the base year 2020 - Measure and reduce Scope 3 emissions - Achieve net zero by 2050 - Reduce Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions by 90% by 2050 compared to the base year 2020 We are proud of what we have accomplished so far and are looking forward to a greener future! #teamgundlach #sustainability #climate #emission #greenfuture #SBTi

Self-built Workbench for Gundlach Kindergarten Recently, Oliver, Waldemar, the instructor of our trainees and especially our mechanic trainees, handed over a self-built, height-adjustable workbench to the Gundlach Kindergarten. Crafted entirely from materials within our company, this project truly embodies the spirit of upcycling and is not available for purchase anywhere! Our 2nd and 3rd-year trainees had to get creative, managing everything from planning to execution. The project involved welding, milling, painting, and other related tasks to construct a "mini carpenter's workbench." Throughout the process, safety was a top priority to ensure that no child would be at risk of injury. We are extremely proud of the result and would like to thank our trainees for their excellent work. Assistants‘ World 2024     Laura and Anna attended the #AssistantsWorld in Frankfurt am Main. From insightful workshops to engaging speakers, every session offered valuable takeaways. Leadership Team Event #32024   Last Thursday and Friday, we came together to explore our company values, align on strategies, and strengthen our leadership connections. The two days were energizing and productive, filled with valuable insights and fun. Day 1:  Morning and Midday: Focused workshop on our company values, diving deep into what drives us.  Afternoon: After a short break, we engaged in a fun and collaborative team-building activity—soccer golf, followed by a BBQ. Our goal is to provide them with the best possible onboarding experience, helping them get to know our company and bond as a team.
