Learn more about how you can optimize manufacturing with laser sintering. 💡 In a recent article by our colleague Naveen Balla from Hamamatsu Photonics France, the benefits of NIR laser sintering are highlighted. This innovative technology reduces equipment size, increases sintering speed, lowers energy consumption, and allows for greater flexibility with ink materials. Read the full article now! 📰 #NIRLaserSintering #PrintedElectronics #TechInnovations
Sintering is a “critical” step in manufacturing printed electronics. Currently heating ovens, NIR emitters or broadband flash lamps are commonly used. But what if one could do NIR laser sintering to reduce (1) heat impact on substrate, (2) sintering time, (3) footprint of equipment and (4) power consumption? How do the results look like? How would the process work? Here in this article by Naveen Balla from Hamamatsu Photonics France you can learn How NIR laser sintering REDUCES: ✅The size of the sintering equipment ✅Increases sintering to several hundred millimeters per second in roll-to-roll production ✅Energy consumption, e.g., 1kW whilst enabling fast roll-to-roll production ✅Ink costs by allowing one to switch between ink materials and still maintain good sintered profiles Furthermore, you will learn how NIR laser sintering enables the choice of substrates to be widened. This is because the selection of the right wavelength in laser sintering allows selective heating of the ink, whilst the substrates remains laser transparent and thus non-absorbent. This single wavelength heating e.g., 940 nm or optional 808nm, enables selective heating, a major advantage over photonic sintering Join us and Hamamatsu Photonics Europe in Berlin at TechBlick's Future of Electronics RESHAPED, learning about all the latest technical and application innovations in additive, printed, hybrid, and R2R electronics Explore the agenda here https://lnkd.in/es2m2VB6 #PrintedElectronics #Sintering #LaserSintering #NIR #Overn #Photonics #Silvernano Alexander Görk Petra Genitheim Hamamatsu Photonics Deutschland GmbH Julien Z.
