Back from Kazakhstan: We recently visited several farmers in person at one of our raw material origins for organic linseed. 🌾 The direct dialogue helps us to gain a deeper insight into the cultivation and harvesting process and a better understanding of the challenges in the supply chain. This allows us to get a full picture of cultivation techniques, further processing and quality aspects. We are implementing a new supply chain platform and are excited to share that the Lebensmittel Zeitung is reporting on our transformation process! 🚀 The Logward supply chain platform is helping us to digitalise our inbound and outbound processes along the entire logistics chain. Among other things, this enables more precise tracking. What an inspiring summer party we had this year! We gathered at a beautiful waterfront location, enjoying drinks on the terrace, great food, table football, dancing and music by our talented in-house DJ and colleague Micha M. 🎧🎵 We also had the pleasure of honoring our long-time employees with flowers and sharing some wonderful anecdotes 🌹👏 A special highlight of the evening was our guest speaker, Valentin Altenburg, the Field Hockey Coach for the Women's National Team, who had just returned from the Olympics in Paris! 🏑 Valentin shared insights about his experiences, the importance of values like team spirit, perseverance, and how to handle setbacks — values that are just as important in business as they are in sports. It was great to hear his perspective and see how much we could all relate to those themes. Of course, we also made sure to have plenty of fun, dancing the night away and enjoying each other's company. Here's to a fantastic team and a memorable evening! Happy Shea Month! 💛 Did you know that the production of shea butter is an essential source of income for millions of women in Africa and that shea parklands make an important contribution to the preservation of biodiversity? 🌳 The Global Shea Alliance has declared July as Shea Month to draw attention to the added sustainable value of shea for people and nature. As a traditional tree of the savannah, the shea tree prevents soil erosion and desertification and improves soil fertility through humus enrichment. In addition, the Shea Parklands in West Africa bind over 1.5 million tons of CO2 every year. This ecosystem needs to be preserved in the long term and deforestation stopped.
