𝐇𝐄𝐍𝐒𝐎𝐋𝐃𝐓 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐚𝐲𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐔 𝐚𝐭 𝐀𝐔𝐒𝐀 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒   Aiming at deepening their collaboration on Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) systems for NATO forces, HENSOLDT and Raytheon signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) during #AUSA conference in Washington D.C.   One of the first major outcomes of the new collaboration will be the establishment of a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility in our site at Oberkochen, Germany, set to be operational by the end of Q1 2025. HENSOLDT has signed a contract with Space Centre Australia (SCA) to deliver two of our high-performance ASR-NG systems, short for Air Surveillance Radar - Next Generation. This comes along with a 20-year sustainment plan to bolster Australia's critical air surveillance capabilities. The total order volume of the initial phase is worth around 20 million euros, with delivering the two radars by the end of 2026 and starting sustainment services up from 2027. The primary radar of the ASR-NG offers a special signal processing technology for long-range airspace surveillance and the suppression of false signals from wind turbines, enabling the safe guidance of all aircraft within a radius of 120 NM and up to altitudes of 50,000 feet. The MSSR 2000 I secondary radar integrated in the ASR-NG ensures automatic identification of aircraft identified by transponder signals. HENSOLDT is taking another important step towards carbon neutrality by 2035: From 2025, we are starting to implement power purchase agreements (PPAs: direct contracts with wind and solar parks) into our energy purchasement strategy. PPAs secure long-term renewable energy for our production facilities. Furthermore, we harmonise the energy purchasement for our german entitys, including ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH. That leads to a cost efficient and sustainable procurement in general. The recent and successful Critical Design Review (CDR) in Bergen is further paving the way for the modernisation of the ULA submarines, which will significantly extend their operational capability.   Originally equipped with our SERO 14/15 periscopes, the submarines will now be upgraded with state-of-the-art HENSOLDT systems such as periscope and optronic mast systems. From littoral to the open ocean, asymmetric threats are becoming increasingly regular and sophisticated. An example are illegal trafficking and pirate activities in the Gulf of Guinea, which bordering countries in cooperation with the French Navy are countering with the Corymbe mission. Thus, naval forces around the world have to equip themselves with advanced operational capabilities that fit varied missions.   This is the driving force behind LYNCEA, HENSOLDT´s Naval Combat Management System.
