Reflecting on UltrasounDD Last week, our group held the first Interdisciplinary Ultrasound Symposium UltrasounDD in Dresden. We are happy that we were able to attract over 50 attendees from various disciplines: The event was a fantastic opportunity for engineers, executives, and clinicians (some of whom even came directly from examinations at the bedside) from research institutes, clinics, large corporations, and even start-ups to come together and share their insights. These were the key takeaways for us: 1. Interdisciplinary exchange is a key component of bringing innovation into the clinics - if we as engineers don’t listen and talk to the doctors, we are solving the wrong problems. 2. There is a lot of promising research going on in ultrasound - and lots of it is happening very close to us in Dresden. We should use this and work together to drive this field forwards. We hope that everyone enjoyed the event as much as we did and made some great connections. How did you like the event and what were your takeaways?
