🌍 Hola Valencia! What inspiring days at Valencia Digital Summit (VDS)! Our team had an amazing time sharing insights and exchanging ideas across 3 panels and 1 keynote at Port Entrepreneurship International Congress #PEIC_2024 during the Valencia Digital Summit #vds_2024, focused on innovation and growth within the tech and maritime sectors. Marcel, Co-Founder of passify, kicked things off on the panel “Innovation Lighthouse: Security and Resilience,” discussing how digital transformation is shaping security strategies for ports. Daniel took the stage twice, first in the panel Innovation Lighthouse: Supply Chain Efficiency, and later delivered a keynote on “Venture Builder as a Source of Innovation for the Sector”, exploring how we define venture building and why its important to innovate and diversify in port logistics. To cap it off, Sriram teamed up with Joshua Gold from TMV and other industry partners for an engaging panel on "The Whys of the Rising Interest in Port & Maritime Sectors by VCs", diving deep into why investors are paying attention to this space. A huge thank you to Opentop_Hub and the Port Authority of Valencia for organizing and inviting us to this event. Until next time, Valencia! #VDS2024 #Innovation #MaritimeTech #Passify #startups

🤖 HHLA Next Team Offsite – between Heidschnucken and AI workshop Not only since ChatGPT, #AI has been a hot topic. Through our partnership with the Artificial Intelligence Center Hamburg (ARIC), we have had a focus on AI for some time now, looking at the opportunities it presents for our portfolio companies and in general. From optimizing supply chains to predictive maintenance and smarter port operations, artificial intelligence is unlocking new efficiencies and possibilities. The past two days were dedicated to hands-on AI workshops, where we not only learned how to leverage AI in our daily work but also had a lot of fun experimenting with prompts and creative solutions! Big thanks to ARIC for the insightful sessions and inspiring collaboration! #HHLANext #ARIC #AI #innovation #logistics

This week, Wiebke and Sriram were in sunny Valencia to meet with the leading port logistics innovation stakeholders Fundación Valenciaport and Opentop_Hub. We had an interesting deepdive on the innovation status quo with Antonio and Jorge at their scenic headquarters overlooking the port. During the talk, we explored joint synergies with plenty of learning points for both parties. Last but not the least, Guillermo took Sriram on a fantastic tour of the port of Valencia to supplement the discussions. #HHLANext #Valenciaport #Opentop #innovation #startups

This week, Daniel, Paras and Ganyi attended the Logistics Summit, connecting with a diverse group of professionals - both new and familiar faces. Here are some key insights from our experience: 🤝 A Platform for Valuable Exchange: The summit provided a focused forum for sharing ideas in the logistics sector, promoting collaboration between industry leaders and startups. 🤖 The Potential of AI in Logistics: The possibilities of artificial intelligence (AI) in logistics are many and varied. However, these are often clouded by exaggerated ideas and false promises. 🌱 The Path to Sustainability: Decarbonizing the logistics chain and digitalization were key topics. The rise of e-mobility is a reality, and shippers and forwarders are working towards climate-neutral transport routes. It was a great experience to exchange with innovation leaders in our industry. See u at Logistics Summit 2025! #HHLANext #LogisticsSummit #Innovation #Sustainability #Startups

Our Transformation Manager, Schirin, recently engaged with leading minds across industries at two impactful events: Beiersdorf Connect and Zufall Logistic Kitchen. These gatherings highlighted the immense value of networking and exchanging ideas with diverse innovation sectors - from startups to corporates to academia.🤝 Why is this important? In a rapidly evolving world, no single organization has all the answers. By fostering collaboration and embracing a variety of perspectives, we open ourselves to new ways of thinking, breakthrough solutions, and sustainable innovation. 🔍 At Beiersdorf Connect, we explored how connecting the dots through collaborative innovation can address global challenges and drive transformation. Discussions on business ecosystems, sustainability, and AI showed that true progress comes from shared knowledge and joint efforts. At ZUFALL logistics group, we took networking to a new level - cooking, discussing, and innovating together on sustainable logistics. It’s about blending diverse experiences to ‘spice up’ how we approach critical topics. These experiences reaffirm our belief that meaningful connections are key to generating new ideas and driving impactful change. Let’s continue to build bridges, inspire each other, and create a better future together! #HHLANext #Innovation #Networking #Transformation #Collaboration #Sustainability
