Die Pflanzenreste aus der Hopfenernte bieten hervorragende bauphysikalische Eigenschaften und könnten in Zukunft für Dämmstoffe, Akustikplatten und Baupaneele genutzt werden. Das Start-up HopfON entwickelt bereits erste Produkte aus Hopfen, die nicht nur kreislauffähig sind, sondern auch ganz ohne künstliche Zusatzstoffe auskommen. HopfON revolutionizes the construction industry by using hops as a circular building material. 🏗️ From a casual beer chat to eco-innovation: A pioneering project by Technical University of Munich students and researchers, HopfON is redefining sustainable construction. Utilizing hops, a traditional brewing ingredient, the team is developing recyclable building materials, addressing the construction industry's massive resource consumption and CO2 emissions. The team, consisting of Thomas Rojas Sonderegger, Marlene Stechl, Matthias Steiger and Mauricio Fleischer Acuña, has developed this innovative concept by utilizing the hidden potential of hops in the construction sector. Their pioneering efforts were acknowledged when HopfON was awarded the 2022 TUM IDEAward, further driving their ambitious vision forward. Das Finalevent unseres Social-Entrepreneurship-Wettbewerbs Generation-D in den Brainlab Headquarters war ein voller Erfolg! HopfON, ein Start-Up, das nachhaltige Baumaterialien aus Hopfenabfällen herstellt, konnte sich gegen 200 andere Teams des Wettbewerbsjahres durchsetzen und holte sich den ersten Platz 🏆 “Es war ein perfektes Finale für den Wettbewerb: Top Pitches, geniale Fragen aus der Jury und eine inspirierenden Atmosphäre“, sagt Christian Brand. „Man spürt, dass alle durch den Willen, etwas zu bewirken, verbunden sind. Das macht Hoffnung auf eine vielversprechende Zukunft voller Kreativität und Motivation“, ergänzt Lukas Hofer. 🌟 Erster MUNICH IMPACT AWARD geht an nachhaltiges Startup HopfON! 🌱 Im Rahmen des Generation-D Finalevents am 14.10.2023 wurde dieses Jahr erstmalig der MUNICH IMPACT AWARD von unserem Wirtschaftsreferenten Clemens Baumgärtner verliehen. 🏆 Zusammen mit Generation D sowie einer internen Kommission wurde das Startup HopfON als erster Preisträger des MIA ausgezeichnet. Being a #jurymember means: Together we can make an impact. 🌍 🏆 My heartfelt congratulations go out to all the participants, winners, and the whole team of this year’s Generation-D final event. As a member of the jury, I was stunned by the deep passion with which the final pitches were presented. As a #founder and #entrepreneur, I was also impressed by the professionalism and well-thought-out business concepts elaborated live on stage. And as an #AI and #digital expert, it made my day to see how the teams merged the idea of #socialentrepreneurship with digital tools. While it was truly not an easy decision to decide on the final winners it is obvious that all of you participating are winners already! Generation-D is a project of scholarship holders of the #Bavarian Elite Academy and a social entrepreneurship competition that supports entrepreneurial ideas in the initial stages of their development to achieve the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations.
