Our CEO Andreas Frölich (pictured left with Alexandre Schäfer from J.A.M.E.S GmbH who bumped into each other on the way to the venue) is at the TechBlick event “The Future of Electronics RESHAPED," in Berlin today. We are delighted to welcome Hussain Haider to our expanding #team at Horizon. Hussain brings experience working at the Institute for Applied Materials Microstructure Modelling and Simulation (IAM-MMA) to the Horizon team, and has a profound interest in data science and material sciences, qualifying with a Masters in Material Science and Engineering from the Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT) (KIT). Hussain will support the growth of our business and organisation centred around the continued development of proprietary coating processes that add material and functionality to microstructures. All coating processes are developed to work with a range of materials and shapes, adding a range of new possibilities for the use of plastics and ceramic micro-AM produced parts in application areas such as RF and mm-wave applications. As part of its rapid expansion, Horizon is looking to add a 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁- 𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹-𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 to its dynamic team in Rheinstetten / Karlsruhe, Germany The successful candidate will be responsible for 3D printing, coating and other manufacturing steps for both our production and development departments; collaboration in the quality control of and tests on manufactured components; and documenting results in MS Office or similar. We are looking for someone fluent in German and English with vocational training as a surface coater, a microtechnologist, or a candidate with comparable professional experience. Some experience of 3D printing, especially with DLP or other resin-based printers would be preferable, and coating experience is a requirement. Experience with precision applications, fine mechanics or similar is advantageous. Working for an innovative company with international customers you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of a ground-breaking and disruptive technology.
