Precisely position injection moulded components and ensure quality 🎯 For 35 years, Kunststofftechnik Schmid has been a contact for high-quality solutions and services in the field of plastics processing and automation. When complex injection-moulded parts are manufactured from up to four components, accuracy and precision are required so that the individual components are positioned reliably and precisely in the next mould. ✅ For this process, vacuum grippers are used, for which a defined vacuum level must be maintained. 👉 The PQ Cube pressure sensor reliably monitors the level. Once the target value is reached, the components are moved along to the next injection moulding step. If the target value is not reached, the sensor ensures that the plant is promptly stopped. To accommodate the dynamics and speed of the gripper, the PQ Cube was mounted directly on the gripper arm. It is directly exposed to the hot, humid working environment 💧 🌡️ - however, the coated measuring cell remains unaffected by these conditions and always works reliably. Keeping an eye on cooling capacity and preventing damage 👀 SCHOTT AG is an international technology group specialising in the manufacture of special glass and glass ceramics. Temperatures of up to 1700 °C are required for the melting process to produce special glass and glass ceramics. 🔥 The required thermal energy is fed into the melting tank via water-cooled elements. Continuous cooling ❄️ of those elements is extremely important, as a defect in the cooling water system can damage the installations severely. A temperature sensor in the inlet of the cooling system and the SV vortex flow meter with integrated temperature measurement in the return line can be used to permanently monitor the cooling capacity via a power loss calculation and ensure the function of the installation. 👌 Thanks to the integrated temperature measurement, there is no need for an additional measuring point for temperature measurement. 👉 The SV is a reliable solution for cooling water applications, as it can be used both in new plants with demineralised water and in existing plants with black steel piping or in open cooling circuits.
