𝐎𝐟𝐟 𝐭𝐨 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐧 On Thursday, we luckily had a perfect autumn day🍁🍂, which our team starts off in Schmölln-Putzkau. Here, they meet our colleague Markus Oppe, sales manager for the region at igus. Together, they visit our customer Fiedler Maschinenbau und Technikvertrieb GmbH. The company develops and builds cleaning vehicles that keep city centers worldwide clean by using water jets. To ensure that the technology installed does not corrode, Fiedler relies on lubrication- and maintenance-free drylin W linear guides from igus in the front welding beam structures. For the last tour in week 2, our team was heading to Berlin🚲. We started in the south-west, in Bad Saarow on Lake Scharmützelsee. From here we set off on the approx. 3.5 km journey to our stop for the day at our customer SENSYS - Magnetometers & Survey Solutions. They are manufacturer for magnetic and electromagnetic measuring systems and components. And since it's only a stone's throw away from Berlin, we naturally took the opportunity for a little sightseeing tour in the afternoon. The second week of our igus bike world tour 🚲started in the beautiful Münsterland region - at the Gemen youth castle to be precise. From this great view, our rider Ansgar Endries set off on the 12 km route to our first customer of the day - HAANE welding systems. Haane specializes in welding solutions in mechanical engineering and uses our igus energy chains for this. From there we continued for about 13 km to our next customer Günther Wensing GmbH und Co.KG, a manufacturer of stretch bending machines and special machines, which also use igus energy chains. After that, our driver had definitely earned the refreshment at the market square in Stadtlohn.😉 Our 5th stage started in the city centre of Gotha. On the bike today: our technical sales consultant Kevin Büttner💪. The first destination: the Rockinger company. ROCKINGER Agriculture has been developing towbars for lorries and trailer components since 1985. The igus high-performance plastics have a particularly sustainable application here. The tour continued along beautiful meadows to Bad Tabaarz, 10 kilometres away. This is where the KRUMBEIN rationell GmbH & CoKG company is based. Anyone thinking of Harry Potter and Hermione's cat 🐈 of the same name is wrong. The company specialises in manufacturing machines for bakeries and patisseries😎. After a light lunch, the journey continued. With additional igus support from our energy chain expert René Mönch. Last stop for this day was L&K Land- und Kraftfahrzeugtechnik GmbH.
