𝐌𝐎𝐈𝐍, 𝐌𝐎𝐈𝐍 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐇𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐠 Yesterday our tour led us to slightly rainy Hamburg. We started our 8th stage at Eurogate Container Harbour. The first person our ‘replacement team’ meets is Uwe Radke, Head of Electrical Installations at the Port of Hamburg (HHLA Hamburger Hafen und Logistik AG) 🚢. There, our igus Mobile Shore Power Outlet (iMSPO) provides the shore power connection for container ships. The system is a self-propelled socket that is located at the berth and installed on the quay above the fender system. With the help of the iMSPO, ships can berth flexibly at the harbour and be supplied with electricity from shore without the use of diesel engines. 💪 Next up was a 8km ride to board a ferry at Bubendeyufer and cross the river Elbe. Once on the other side, we headed to the fish market. Here our team spent a short lunch break with fish & chips🍟. Freshly energised, we were on the road again to the Reeperbahn😎. It is the most famous street in the whole of Hamburg, especially for its lively nightlife and diverse entertainment options. From there we headed across the Landungsbrücken to the Elbe Philharmonic Hall and last but not least to the Outer Alster, where our stage ended😊. #igusbikeworldtour #igus #innovation #staytuned
