The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method designed to enhance productivity and focus. It involves breaking your work into intervals, traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short 5-minute breaks. Each work interval is known as a "Pomodoro." The method encourages sustained concentration, minimizes burnout, and promotes efficient task completion by harnessing the power of focused work intervals. Have you heard of it before? 🍅

🧠💐 World Mental Health Day, celebrated today, is a great reminder for all of us to pause and check in on our mental well-being. It’s a day to break the stigma around mental health issues and start more open conversations about how we’re really doing. 🌎 Moving to a new country can be super exciting, but it also comes with some tough challenges. Things like adjusting to a new culture, dealing with language differences, and trying to make new friends can really impact your mental health. That’s why it’s so important for anyone who’s just moved abroad to take care of themselves—whether that’s through self-care, finding mental health support, or staying in touch with people back home. Recognizing these challenges early on can help you feel more resilient, less lonely, and a bit more balanced as you settle into this big life change.

Check out this video by Dating Beyond Borders, where expats share what it’s REALLY like to make friends in Austria. Their experiences give a personal touch to the insights from our Expat Insider survey—you might relate to their stories if you live in Austria! 🙂
Vienna might have a reputation for its top-notch quality of life, but when it comes to making friends? Well, that's a whole different story. 🤔 According to the 2023 Expat City Ranking by InterNations, Vienna ranked 36th out of 49 cities overall, but landed dead last for “Ease of Settling In.” Expats are finding the locals among the *unfriendliest* in the world. Ouch. 🤕 The stats speak for themselves: a whopping 63% of expats say it's hard to make friends with locals (compared to just 36% globally). Plus, 36% of people struggle to adapt to the local culture, which is double the global average. Bottom line: many feel like they're on the outside looking in. We spoke to both locals and expats to find out why in the newest video. It seems to boil down to a few key factors: 👉 Austrians tend to be reserved and take time to open up 👉 Austrians have a set group of friends from childhood 👉 There’s a big “planning culture” where everything has to be scheduled in advance (spontaneity? Not so much) 👉 Small talk just isn’t part of the daily routine. While these traits help make Vienna an efficient and well-run city, they can also create some real hurdles when it comes to forming connections. 👯♂️ Check out the video for more insights on how to break through and make connections in Vienna: https://lnkd.in/gZDHyHNs
