Photovoltaics Recycling: A New Growth Sector for a Sustainable Future The PV industry is growing rapidly, and with it the need for sustainable solutions for end-of-life modules. According to International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), between 400,000 and 1 million tons of electronic waste could be generated in Germany by 2030. PV recycling offers enormous opportunities here: there are already promising approaches for recycling valuable raw materials such as silver, glass and copper.
