Bridging mobility gaps with demand-responsive transport solutions! 🤩 ✨ Since 2019, we have proudly powered KVV.MyShuttle from Karlsruher Verkehrsverbund KVV with our ridepooling software, enabling flexible transportation across both rural and urban areas of the Karlsruhe region. What makes this implementation special? 🚆 Integration with the existing public transport system. Passengers can use the on-demand service at regular KVV tariffs, making it a seamless extension of traditional PT. 🕖 Strategic timing that fills gaps in traditional service schedules, focusing on evenings, nights, and weekends when fixed-route options are limited. ⬆️ Proven scalability, with continuous expansion to new service areas based on successful performance and growing demand. In a recent interview, KVV's mobility planner Felix Heller highlighted how the on-demand service successfully adapts to diverse community needs - from supporting evening entertainment trips in urban areas to providing crucial train connections in surrounding rural areas. KVV.MyShuttle's success is driving political momentum. As Felix explains: 💬 "In principle, you no longer need to convince political committees about on-demand services. When there are positive examples in the region, they quickly catch on and want to have such an offer on their own. We don't need to go door-to-door and do convincing work. It is rather that we are being overwhelmed with a multitude of requests and have to put on the brakes a bit." 🇮🇹 Venice: Where centuries-old water transport meets future mobility innovation. We are excited to contribute to its future! Last week, our Transport Planner Severin Diepolder and our Launch & Account Manager Davide Lazzara represented ioki at the Toyota Mobility Foundation's Sustainable Cities Challenge. 🤩 We are proud to be among the top 10 finalists, selected from over 120 applicants worldwide! Our mission? To help transform mobility patterns in Mestre, Venice's mainland district, and its surroundings towards a more sustainable future. What we learned 👇 💡 Mestre already has impressive infrastructure in place - from mobility hubs to shared mobility services 💡 While sustainable alternatives to private cars exist, adoption remains the biggest hurdle 💡 The path forward is not about building more infrastructure - it is about understanding what truly motivates people's transportation choices 🔮 Looking ahead: We are excited to dive deep into citizen survey data and mobility patterns to better understand local habits.
