Last week, Callwey Verlag hosted the BEST OF ARCHITECTURE Summit in Munich. An inspiring programme of talks was followed by the award ceremony for the publisher’s architecture prizes. Nadine Batz, our Project Manager for ‘Baumhaus’, and Markus S., Project Director Workplace, were on stage for the ‘Best Workspaces’ awards. Here we won with our Ritter Sport Schokozentrale (‘Auszeichnung’) and the ‘Baumhaus’ office for the Hassia Mineralquellen GmbH & Co. KG (‘Anerkennung’ + cover of the book!). The Brunner Group exhibition stand at ORGATEC Cologne (Hall 8.1, E021) also provides a glimpse into the future of Brunner’s product world. The new Brunner Design System was developed in a three-year collaborative process by our material experts and the development team at Brunner. The goal is to convert the colours, surfaces and materials into a harmonious, pan-collection system that meets increased sustainability requirements and enables the products to be optimally combined. Initial results are shown at Orgatec. Our carefully curated combinations provoke curiosity and invite visitors to get creative and explore the endless design possibilities themselves. ORGATEC Cologne Hall 5.2, F010: On a shared exhibition stand, four renowned German brands will each present their product niche: furniture from Walter Knoll, carpets from OBJECT CARPET GmbH, textiles from Zimmer + Rohde and lighting from SATTLER Lighting. We devised the 840 m² stand area as a floating architecture of textiles and light with an open marketplace at its centre. Around this, we use circular areas to formulate individual spaces and themed areas, and create collaborative segments where they overlap. Our fair stand for Brunner Group at ORGATEC Cologne: Hall 8.1, E021. We designed Brunner’s exhibition presence as an interactive and immersive experience that actively involves visitors in the presentation of the company’s furniture and room concepts. The trade fair stand presents itself as a large and airy ‘house of paper’. Paper rolls printed with colour gradients form the stand façade and walls, and continue across a geometric ceiling grid to create a temporary, ephemeral building. Brunner is using Orgatec 2024 to showcase the breadth and versatility of its product portfolio, while focussing on its solutions for New Work concepts for the office. The exhibition stand also provides a glimpse into the future of Brunner’s product world. Our VIVAAsocial luminaire gets unveiled at ORGATEC Cologne (Hall 8.1, C030)! Waldmann - Engineers of Light is a renowned lighting manufacturer from the German Black Forest and the VIVAA luminaire family is a classic design of its product portfolio. We were commissioned to reinterpret the floor lamp and design a version that makes the sophisticated Waldmann lighting technology visible. Our VIVAAsocial adds a new paper reflector and casing, available in various prints, to the existing luminaire. With its unusual material aesthetics and warm lighting mood, VIVAAsocial is particularly suited for use in the cosier zones of modern work environments.
