Jowat Andina S.A.S. is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year! 🎉 Founded in 2014 in Itagüí, located within the vibrant Área Metropolitana de Medellín in Colombia, Jowat Andina S.A.S. has established a presence. The Área Metropolitana de Medellín consists of several cities, with Medellín at its heart—a city fondly known as the “City of the Eternal Spring”. The mission at Jowat Andina S.A.S. has always been clear: to provide major customers with the opportunity to procure their goods directly from the manufacturer, leveraging a local presence. The company proudly supplies different industries from the classic wood and furniture sectors to the packaging industry, as well as various segments in the automotive and textile sectors. Currently, Jowat Andina S.A.S. operates a directly administered warehouse with 300 storage spaces, ensuring efficient service across the entire country. Furthermore, services have recently expanded to neighboring countries in the so-called Andina region and the southern part of Central America. Two exciting days are drawing to a close: The 20th edition of the traditional Jowat symposium finally took place again. We were delighted to welcome customers from the wood and furniture industry to our headquarters in Detmold for an exchange of forward-thinking and sustainable expertise from the world of adhesives.   In addition to exciting presentations on sustainable adhesives, current developments in circular solutions and future-proof bonding methods, the program also included a range of different workshops for our customers. Did you know that adhesives also play a key role in your morning coffee routine? Whether it’s ground coffee, whole beans, or capsules— Jowat adhesives ensure the bonding and closing of those packaging materials. In many cases, this secondary packaging consists of a printed paper bag which provides additional information about the product. This secondary packaging is closed by applying a water-based dispersion adhesive at the side seam and at the top via a slot nozzle or a roller and then bonding the material. Jowacoll® 746.07 is often used: This copolymer adhesive was developed with a focus on the machines established on the market, providing the optimum lapping time and bonding strength for the different substrates.
