Key Takeaways: 🕓 When is the right time for bank financing? We discussed the critical factors to consider before approaching a bank for financing—understanding the business cycle and evaluating your funding needs. 💸 Public Subsidized Loans & Bank Financing Participants learned the ins and outs of public subsidized loans—conditions, eligibility, and how they differ from traditional bank loans or equity financing. 🧳 Comparing Bank Financing vs VC/Equity Funding We explored the key differences between securing a loan from a bank and raising capital through venture capital. What’s the right choice for your business, and what’s at stake? 📄 Personal Guarantees & Required Documents A deep dive into personal guarantees, what they mean, and the paperwork required when applying for bank financing. Die USA greifen nach der KI-Vorherrschaft – keine Zeit mehr für Kleinklein in Deutschland und Europa! Die Ankündigung von „Stargate“, dem Mega-KI-Projekt der USA, muss ein deutliches Warnsignal sein: Die USA wollen ihre Vormacht in Sachen KI-Entwicklung ausbauen – gemeinsam mit anderen Playern, aber nicht mit Europa. Durch eine Beteiligung von MGX am Projekt werden die Vereinigten Arabischen Emirate mit einbezogen, die in der Vergangenheit bereits gezeigt haben, dass sie große Ambitionen beim Thema KI haben. Über den japanischen Konzern Softbank binden sie auch Asien mit ein. Und Europa? Ist nicht mit am Tisch! Unabhängig von Zweifeln daran, ob es wirklich 500 Milliarden US-Dollar werden, die für Stargate zusammenkommen: Die EU muss für Investments der Big Player attraktiver werden und gleichzeitig wesentlich mehr europäisches Kapital aktivieren. Es braucht richtige Anreize und keine (oder wenigstens wesentlich weniger) Umwege durch Regulierungs-Jungel. Das wird aber wohl kaum so schnell passieren, wie Trump Executive Orders unterschreibt. Deshalb müssen wir jetzt daran arbeiten unsere Talente und Potenziale in Europa mit den richtigen Argumenten zu halten und Wissenschaftler:innen und Startups Raum für starke Innovation zu geben. Beim KI-Rennen überhaupt noch mitlaufen können wir diesseits des Atlantiks nur, wenn wir den Transfer von Wissenschaft zur Wirtschaft mit großen Schritten fördern und ebendiese Innovationen auch hier relevant skalieren. Mit AI NATION leisten wir genau da einen Beitrag, verbinden die deutschen KI-Epizentren Berlin und München, um gemeinsam KI-Startups auf den Weg zur Weltspitze zu bringen. Doch es braucht noch weit mehr. Mehr Kollaboration zwischen Wissenschaft, Startups, Wirtschaft und Politik - mit Fokus und ambitionierten Zielen! 🚀 AI Startups: Prioritize Ethics in Your Development Process! 🤖 Today we hosted an insightful workshop with the Berlin Ethics Lab for Responsible AI Design and Human-Computer Interaction at Technische Universität Berlin. This session was designed for teams at the C-level who are working on AI applications and are looking to integrate ethical reflection into their project’s design and execution. 🌍 Participants had the opportunity to: 🏛️ Analyze their AI applications through the lens of social sustainability ⚖️ Identify ethical considerations relevant to their specific stage of development 💡 Strengthen their approach to responsible AI design We believe that fostering ethical responsibility is essential for shaping the future of AI in a way that benefits society as a whole.
