𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 Christoph Müller, member of the Executive Board, will be stepping down from his position on March 31, 2025, at his own request. What a cliché – flowers for Women's Day... but wait! Sometimes there is much more behind it. It is not without reason that in many European countries not just any flower is given on 8 March. It is always the (red) carnation. Red carnations established themselves as a symbol of the working class as early as the 19th century. During demonstrations for more and better women's rights, the participants wore red carnations on their lapels as a sign of solidarity and belonging. Giving a red carnation is a way to express gratitude and appreciation for the women in our lives – mothers, daughters, sisters, girlfriends and colleagues. It is a reminder that we stand together in the ongoing fight for equal rights and opportunities for all. From our female colleagues in the production halls to our female designers and managers – women at Koenig & Bauer are shaping the future! However, the path to global gender equality is still a long one. This makes it all the more important, on today's International Women's Day, to once again recognise all that women accomplish every day, what we have already achieved together, and to seek ways to eliminate the systemic barriers and prejudices that women still face today.
