𝐌𝐨𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐞 & 𝐨𝐧-𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐛𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 With our mobile machining solutions, we are able to conduct challenging tasks in #generator maintenance projects reliable, efficient and precise – also on-site! Lengthy repair times as well as delays through unexpected findings can thus be reduced significantly. In one of our current projects, our field service experts were able to release a coupling, which was completely seized up on the rotor shaft, with our innovative portable milling machine. At the same time, our manufacturing team was producing a new coupling. With our engineering, manufacturing and field service teams under one roof, we are supporting our customers to increase their rotating equipment #availabilty and #KeepYourWorldRotating! #Turbomachinery #RotatingEquipment #TeamKPG

𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐲-𝐝𝐮𝐭𝐲 𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐚𝐣𝐨𝐫 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐡𝐚𝐮𝐥 We are currently busy with a generator major outage in Southern France, where our long-term customer is operating a 500 MW CC single shaft machine with an H2-cooled #generator, arranged in the middle between GT and ST. To pull the rotor, the whole generator including foundation with a weight of >1,000 tons had to be moved with special equipment for handling such enormous weights. #Turbomachinery #RotatingEquipment #TeamKPG #WeKeepYourWorldRotating

𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐝 Our #generator service team is constantly busy with rotor works at our new facility in Albbruck, #Germany. We are currently carrying out a complete #rewind of a 240 MW rotor for a combined cycle power plant in Belgium. Our new service workshop has been designed and built specifically for this work and is equipped with a clean room, 70 tonne crane, laser cleaning area, several assembly areas, and all the necessary specialist tools. Next to the service workshop is our #manufacturing facility, where we can produce all spare parts for generators in-house, e.g. seals, #bearings, #blades, retaining rings, couplings, ... 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥 𝐟𝐥𝐮𝐱 𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 Our #generator diagnostics team just performed another stator full flux test. During the test some hotspots were detected at the stator core, which are currently under detailed evaluation and already in preparation for subsequent repair. Are you interested? We are offering full flux testing for all generators with potential flaws in stator core to identify size and intensity of the flaws and propose tailor-made repair solutions. #WeKeepYourWorldRotating #TeamKPG

Perfectly in time with the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, we had students from Hochrhein Gymnasium Waldshut visiting us at our new headquarters. The class has a specialization in science and technology and hence was interested in getting some insights into KPG Rotating Solutions. Showing and discussing real-life experiments and applied science in the fields of energy generation, material science and manufacturing engineering was fantastic – and fun! It was great also to see that >50% of the students are female talents. We are proud and humbled to support our local schools by such collaborations, especially when it comes to promotion of equal access to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines. Our #generator service team is working on a generator #inspection and #repair in #Malaysia. The project includes the removal of stator bars followed by electrical testing and inspections. Since this unit is a #GVPI generator, special tooling is required to remove the stator bars. These tools were designed by our #engineering team as well as manufactured and assembled by our #manufacturing team in our new workshop in Albbruck, Germany. #wekeepyourworldrotating
