Informal Get-together with DLA Students and KUKA Group Last night, the students of the DLA class of 2024/25 had the wonderful opportunity to experience a fireside evening in a cozy atmosphere. They met colleagues from the KUKA Group who were happy to share their experiences and career paths. For the DLA students, it was a great chance to gain valuable insights and ask questions – whether about successful applications, the path to leadership, or individual career trajectories. The intense conversations led to many new impressions and inspirations, both for the DLA students and the KUKA Group colleagues. A heartfelt thank you to everyone involved for this enriching evening. We look forward to the future careers of the DLA students.

🏆 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 – 𝗕𝗔𝗠𝗦 𝘅 𝗥𝗮𝘆𝗚𝗲𝗻 𝘅 𝗞𝗨𝗞𝗔⚡ We are proud to share that BAMS has been awarded the Best Project Award by KUKA for our work on the RayGen project. The award was presented to the team just a few days before we start packing our colossal production line in BAMS’s Clayton-based 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗳𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 to transport to RayGen’s site in Carwarp, Victoria, setting RayGen up for revolutionary heliostat manufacturing. Within 15 months, BAMS was able to assemble a portable, bespoke manufacturing line capable of safely producing 300 heliostats (mirrors used to focus sunlight) per day, deployable in remote and harsh environments. Mobilising a complicated system of Kuka robots, this line delivers complex 5x4-meter heliostats with 0.1mm accuracy in just over 3 minutes once fully operational, establishing a new benchmark for advanced manufacturing in Australia. The RayGen, Kuka, and BAMS teams have been working hard together to make this happen. Just imagine how fragile the heliostats can be! More ergonomics at well-known car manufacturers in Bavaria Collaboration between humans and robots enables ergonomic quality assurance of crankshaft housings at the automotive plant in Landshut. Thanks to human-robot collaboration (HRC)-capable automation with #KUKA robots, workers can use a joystick to control the robot's movements to check the components for defects. The robot holds the crankcase, which weighs around 30 kg, securely at the optimum height for the worker and then moves the component back onto the conveyor belt. The #interactive inspection process is ended by the employee at the touch of a button.
