This is what the production of mobile slewing cranes at the Kirchdorf (Germany) site looked like around 75 years ago. Today, around 2,000 employees still work at the same site. Of course, a lot has changed since then. One major change concerns the machines produced. Do you know what has changed? Write it in the comments 👇 #liebherr #75years #throwbackthursday #anniversary #construction

A glimpse into the past! Our mobile crane next to a truck-mounted slewing crane from 1951. 🏗️ 75 years of innovation and progress - we are celebrating our company anniversary and the development of our products! #liebherr #75yearsliebherr

In 1953, Hans Liebherr presented the first hydraulic excavator, the L 300. The development process from the idea to the finished product took just eight months at the Kirchdorf an der Iller (Germany) site. The hydraulic concept and the compact dimensions of the excavator were revolutionary at the time, as large duty cycle crawler cranes had previously been used. #liebherr #75years #throwbackthursday #anniversary #excavator #75yearsliebherr

The North Sea is home to some of the oldest offshore oil and gas platforms in the world, which are gradually being decommissioned and recycled. One of these platforms is the 30,000-tonne Gyda Field platform, which operated in the Norwegian North Sea from 1990 until its closure in autumn 2021. Since mid-2022, the platform has been in a shipyard in Norway, where it is being decommissioned by one of our powerful LH 110 C High Rise Industry Litronic material handling machines. The machine uses a gigantic 12-tonne scrap shear to crush various steel beams and pipes, which are then carefully sorted and prepared for the recycling process. ♻️ The steel is then transported to co-operation partners and steelworks throughout Europe, where it is returned to the cycle. Read more in our job report, which also includes a short video: https://lnkd.in/eDKmZjGr BTW: Alongside our smaller material handlers, our large maritime cranes on specialised offshore vessels are also engaged in decommissioning projects worldwide and ensuring the safe and efficient dismantling of offshore structures. #liebherr #decommissioning #offshoreindustry #recycling #oilplatform

The Isar river flows through picturesque mountains, meadows and forests. In southern Bavaria, the company Seilbagger Gran extracts gravel from the river over a stretch of about 4.5 km. Our duty cycle machines crawler cranes HS 8100.1 and HS 8130.1 impress Stefan and Andi Gran with their performance and flexibility. For dragline operations, Liebherr HS machines are their number one choice for various reasons. 🦾

POV: You open your garage door and in front of it stands a new LHM 800, almost 100 metres high like a primeval giant. This is how it must feel for the employees at the Hartel Terminal of Marcor Stevedoring B.V. when they open their warehouse doors at the beginning of their work shift. This mobile harbour crane is a true eye-catcher with its 64-metre boom, a lifting capacity of up to 144 tonnes, and a cabin perched 30 metres high. 👀 #liebherr #liebherrfans #marcorstevedoring #mobileharbourcrane

We are celebrating 75 years of Liebherr this year! 🎂 This is the small hut where Hans Liebherr lived and worked with his family from 1945. This is exactly where the idea for the first construction machine was born. The house still stands on our factory site in Kirchdorf (Germany). It is a wonderful reminder of our roots and that big things usually start small. #liebherr #liebehrrgroup #75yearsofmovingforward
