We are thrilled to announce that our DCA team took the top spot this year, winning a brand ⭐️new⭐️ catering truck for their home base. World Cleanup Day Roundup 🌍 On September 20, volunteers from across the LSG Sky Chefs network came together to celebrate World Cleanup Day, a global initiative addressing solid waste and marine debris. We proudly participated with events at various customer service centers, including our teams in Nairobi, Kenya (NBO), São Paulo, Brazil (GRU), and Las Vegas, Nevada (LAS). In Nairobi, 45 employees dedicated their time to clear overgrown grass, collect scattered rocks and sort through waste, transforming a local plot for extracurricular activities. Meanwhile, our São Paulo team organized seminars leading up to the event, emphasizing our commitment to sustainability. The following day, they not only cleared land but also visited Flacipel, a key waste treatment partner. In Las Vegas, volunteers made a positive impact by cleaning up Siegfried & Roy Park, honoring the local legacy. A huge thank you to everyone who participated! 🚀 Successful Menu Presentation with South African Airways On August 28, our team at LSG Sky Chefs Dar es Salaam proudly presented a four-cycle menu to South African Airways (SAA), complete with a quality audit. We’re thrilled to share that every dish was selected with zero changes! The highlight of the event was the appreciation from SAA representatives for our original creations, like the carrot and prawn dish with its unique three-flavor profile and the crowd-pleasing blueberry mousse cake. 🍰🌟 This event also provided a fantastic opportunity for our new staff, who gained invaluable experience and enjoyed the event thoroughly. As Production Manager Rizaah Ellis noted, “The lessons learned will be instrumental in their careers.” We eagerly await the final decision by October 28, with hopes of starting catering for SAA’s daily DAR-JNB flights in November, serving approximately 500 meals per flight. “Given the strong relationship between Tanzania and South Africa, it would indeed be a wonderful opportunity for us to welcome back South African Airways in the post-COVID era,” said General Manager Martin Oyuke. 🌟 Creating Moments of Joy, One Meal at a Time! 🌟 Recently, we at LSG Sky Chefs New Zealand were privileged to contribute to a very special event in partnership with Air New Zealand — a scenic flight that took 50 Koru Care kids on an unforgettable journey over the South Island. 🛫💙 Koru Care is a wonderful charity that provides extraordinary experiences for children with serious medical conditions or disabilities, and Air New Zealand has been proudly partnering with them for over 40 years to make dreams take flight. This weekend’s flight was a memorable one, soaring over Queenstown, Dunedin, and along the beautiful East Coast, giving these children and their caregivers a breathtaking view of our homeland. 🌄 We were thrilled to provide the meals onboard this special flight, ensuring that every child and caregiver could enjoy a delicious treat while taking in the incredible sights. 🍽️ Giving Back Through Our Passion: LSG Sky Chefs at the Mother of Mercy Children’s Home 🍽️   On the weekend of August 17th, LSG Sky Chefs Kenya had the privilege of giving back to the community. We provided catering for a special event organized by our partners at Lufthansa Cargo. The event took place at the Mother of Mercy Children’s Home, located on the outskirts of Nairobi.   Our team proudly supported a day filled with track and field competitions, joy, and community spirit. Between races, we served refreshing beverages and delicious meals to fuel the fun and keep the energy high! 🥤🍲   Witnessing the smiles and hearing the laughter from the children was the highlight of our day. It was a great opportunity to live our values and contribute to the community through what we do best—caring through catering. 🌍❤️
