Last week we had the honour of hosting the annual assembly of aireg - Aviation Initiative for Renewable Energy in Germany e.V. at our headquarters in Hamburg. 39 aireg members were our guests and were not only provided with coffee and water, but also with impulses and practical experiences. Our Head of B2B, Saskia Weis, welcomed the aireg roundtable and emphasised how important we believe SAFs are to reducing the climate impact of aviation. And our Director New Energy, Philipp Kroepels, explained how Mabanaft's future products can contribute to a more sustainable transport sector. Thanks to aireg for being our guests! ------------------------------------- In der vergangenen Woche durften wir die jährliche Mitgliederversammlung von aireg - Aviation Initiative for Renewable Energy in Germany e.V. bei uns in Hamburg ausrichten. 39 aireg-Mitglieder waren für rund drei Stunden unsere Gäste und wurden nicht nur mit Kaffee und Wasser, sondern auch mit Impulsen und Praxiserfahrungen versorgt. Together with our partners H&R Group and en2x – Wirtschaftsverband Fuels und Energie e.V., we welcomed around 15 young people from the Young Talents Hamburg autumn camp to our e-fuels demonstration plant in the Port of Hamburg yesterday. Our trainees Jana and Pauline presented Mabanaft and our training opportunities, while two of our dual students trainees, Lissy and Jannis, together with en2x and H&R, gave an insight into the world of energy and talked about our projects such as the New Energy Gate, Next Gate and our collaboration with HIF Global. - And it was a success! The young talents showed great interest in energy production, efficiency - and our internship programmes 💡 a story to be continued.. ------------------- Zusammen mit unseren Partnern H&R Group und en2x – Wirtschaftsverband Fuels und Energie e.V. durften wir gestern rund 15 Jugendliche des Young Talents Hamburg Herbstcamps bei unserer E-Fuels-Demonstrationsanlage im Hamburger Hafen in Empfang nehmen. Unsere Azubis Jana und Pauline stellten Mabanaft und unsere Ausbildungsmöglichkeiten vor, während zwei unserer dualen Studierenden und Trainees, Lissy und Jannis, zusammen mit en2x und H&R Einblicke in die Energiewelt ermöglichten und von unseren Projekten wie dem New Energy Gate, Next Gate, oder unserer Kooperation mit HIF Global erzählten. – Und das kam an! Workshop on ammonia and hydrogen as part of the energy transition: Together with some of our colleagues from our sister company Advario, we went to Dordrecht in the Netherlands to get theoretical and practical advice on how ammonia and hydrogen work physically, how to deal with safety issues in our plants and how to manage incidents with confidence. Why was this necessary? So that we can prepare for future projects in the best possible way. Let's talk about Sustainable Aviation Fuels! There was plenty of opportunity to do so this week at the "Abend der Luftfahrt" (Evening of Aviation) in Berlin. The event was organised by the BDL – Bundesverband der Deutschen Luftverkehrswirtschaft e. V. (Federal Association of the German Aviation Industry), which is campaigning to abolish air travel tax in Germany. And also present: the German Federal Minister of Transport Volker Wissing. He will continue to campaign for the abolition of the German e-fuel quota for aviation. Thank you for the opportunity to exchange ideas! Damit ist das Umweltmanagementsystem in unser bereits bestehendes Managementsystem aus Sicherheitsmanagementsystem (Anhang III der 12. BImSchV), Qualitätsmanagementsystem (ISO 9001) und Energiemanagementsystem (ISO 50001) integriert.
