𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀-𝗢𝗻 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴! Recently, we participated in the Bench-QC project consortium meeting held at the BMW Group Research and Innovation Center (FIZ). Johannes Oberreuter and Zao Chen represented our team, showcasing our expertise in quantum computing benchmarking. The meeting brought together experts from OptWare GmbH, BMW, Fraunhofer IKS, Fraunhofer IIS, Quantinum, and VDI/VDE, leading to collaborative discussions on various aspects of the Bench-QC project. We actively participated in conversations about open-sourcing, deliverables, and the project roadmap.      Johannes Oberreuter delivered insights on "Quantum Hardware: Access and Usage", and Zao Chen presented a QML (Quantum Machine Learning) use case, highlighting our company's proficiency in this critical area. We also took the opportunity to engage with other participants about potential joint scientific publications.      This meeting underscores our commitment to advancing quantum computing benchmarking. By collaborating with leading industry partners, we continue to contribute to developing this transformative technology. The words “Data migration” are all over the place! However, while many agree that a migration to cloud is often necessary, it is less clear 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐭𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐚 𝐦𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐟𝐮𝐥! 👀 In this article, our colleague Ioannis Krimitzas explains how we recently migrated a huge amount of data from existing on-premises NetAPP cluster to AWS. 💪 "𝐈𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚 𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐝 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐚 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞.", writes Ioannis Krimitzas. "Designing and implementing the components was a process that took several weeks. Each architectural decision had to be backed up with proof of concepts, documentation and consultation with AWS. For example, in July, one of our colleagues was in 𝗚𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗳𝗲 to work on a client project 𝗼𝗻-𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲. With 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗱 as the overnight stay, the trip was not only 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 but also very 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲! The 𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 on the 𝗰𝗮𝗸𝗲? Our 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲 experienced the spectacular 𝗘𝘂𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 final live at a public viewing at the Royal Bridge — spine-tingling and an unforgettable experience! These experiences highlight how 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 and 𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 our business trips can be. They support both 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 growth and personal development while providing unique cultural experiences.
