Following severe floods in Valencia, MAHLE is providing vital support to affected employees and communities. Thankfully, colleagues in Valencia and Motilla are safe. While MAHLE’s facilities remain operational, many have suffered significant personal losses. To help, the MAHLE team on site immediately initiated numerous measures to help affected employees. Besides opening a 24/7 support hotline for counseling, installing flexible leave options and financial advances, protective gear and cleaning equipment from MAHLE sites across Europe are collected and provided on-site. When you hear a loud humming, electric noise tonight in your neighborhood, it won’t be an electric vehicle while charging. It most definitely will not be an owl. It must be something else. 🛸 But how can we be so sure? Taking inspiration from the wings of an owl, MAHLE’s engineering and simulation wizards developed a bionic structure for an e-vehicle cooling fan to make demanding electrified vehicle applications significantly quieter. The owl is one of the quietest flying birds in the world and it is particularly in noise-sensitive areas that this bionic design shows its strength. During fast charging of vehicles at Halloween, it reduces spooky noises and increases comfort for drivers and residents alike.
