Matthews Engineering aus Vreden war mit der „Dickenmessung 300ST“ in diesem Jahr in der Kategorie „Wissenschaft trifft Wirtschaft“ nominiert. Wir zeigen Ihnen, was hinter dieser innovativen Entwicklung steckt! ⬇️ 🛠️ Das System zur Inline-Dickenmessung beschichteter Folien in der Elektrodenproduktion hat Matthews Engineering gemeinsam mit dem Lehrstuhl Production Engineering of E-Mobility Components der RWTH Aachen University entwickelt. Die Elektroden sind wesentlicher Bestandteil von Lithium-Ionen-Batterien. 🔋 In der Automobilindustrie werden diese vermehrt als Energiespeicher eingesetzt, da sie neben einer guten Performance auch ökologische und ökonomische Vorteile bieten. 🚗 📈 Aufgrund des zunehmenden Wettbewerbs und Kostendrucks in der Herstellung von Lithium-Ionen-Zellen besteht ein ständiger Optimierungsbedarf in Bezug auf Qualität und Ausschussreduktion. Matthews Engineering ist es gelungen, mit der Dickenmessung 300ST ein innovatives System zu entwickeln, das in diesem Bereich signifikante Einsparpotenziale und nachhaltige Wettbewerbsvorteile erzielt. 💡 Im Gegensatz zu konventionellen Systemen zur Inline-Dickenmessung, die durch Fertigungstoleranzen in ihrer Genauigkeit beschränkt sind oder die Folie nicht ausreichend stabil lagern, erlaubt das patentierte Prinzip eine µm-genaue Dickenmessung. 📏 Erreicht wird diese durch eine spezielle Sensoranordnung und Einstellung des Gerätes sowie den Einsatz einer Siebtrommel zur exakten Lagerung der Folie. 🛠️ Eine fantastische Entwicklung aus der Region, wie wir finden! 🔬💪 #muensterland #dasguteleben #Nachhaltigkeit #Innovation
