Menzolit Granollers plant welcomes University of Girona students for a hands-on SMC Workshop. We recently hosted 22 students from the University of Girona’s MMS (Master of science in mechanics of materials & structures) and FRP++ (Advanced structural analysis and design using composite materials) Master’s programs at our Granollers plant. They explored the fundamentals of Sheet Moulding Compound (SMC), toured our manufacturing facilities, and even molded parts using our lab press. It was a great way to connect theory with real-world industrial processes! 🌱 Shubhada Polymer: Paving the Way for Sustainable Innovation in the Electric Vehicle Industry 🚗⚡ At Shubhada Polymer, we are proud to be part of the journey towards a greener, more sustainable future. Our recent collaboration with Gensol and Menzolit marks a significant step forward in integrating innovation with sustainability. Here’s a look at how we are contributing to the electric vehicle (EV) industry through forward-thinking solutions: Strategic Partnership for Growth: Mr. Joan Montobbio (Director) from Menzolit, along with our technical and management teams, visited Gensol to understand their needs and provide expert raw material formulations, leveraging extensive knowledge in thermoset materials. Shubhada has developed 15 critical parts used in the three-wheeler Gensol car, marking a significant milestone in the EV sector. As part of our strategic partnership, we successfully completed the Production Trial Run (PTR) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for Gensol components, ensuring the highest standards of quality and readiness for mass production. Scaling Production for Growing Demand: To meet surging demand in the electric vehicle industry, Shubhada has invested in additional machines ranging from 500 to 2000 tonnage, expanding production capacity and ensuring rapid scaling to meet customer needs with timely deliveries. Competitive Cost, High-Quality Solutions: Through cost-effective tooling, casting processes in collaboration with Pune Composites, and cost effective SMC, we have achieved a 30% cost reduction, maintained high-quality standards while ensuring cost-efficiency and affordability for our customers. Advanced Technology & Reducing Manual Intervention for Precision: We worked closely with the Gensol & Pune composite to design moulds that improve accuracy and reduce manual intervention in vehicle assembly. By utilizing 3D scanning technology, we captured precise measurements to analyse and address warpage in moulded parts, ensuring high-quality, dimensionally accurate components that meet stringent industry standards. Sustainability at the Core: By focusing on optimise -cost moulding tools, sustainable manufacturing practices, and eco-friendly material choices, we are working to minimize environmental impact while delivering durable, high-performance parts. Shubhada Polymer is proud to be on the path to zero carbon emissions, aligning our efforts with global sustainability goals and ensuring a greener future for the industry.
