Hydrocephalus und die gesellschaftliche Verantwortung des Unternehmers Christoph Miethke Jetzt wissen es die 16 START-Stipendiat:innen bzw. START Career-Teilnehmende, was sich hinter der Krankheit Hydrocephalus verbirgt und wie Medizintechnik das Leben vieler Menschen verbessern kann. In einem kleinen Team entwickelte Christoph Miethke nach der Wende ein Ventil für die Ableitung von Hirnwasser und gründete mit dieser Innovation sein erfolgreiches Potsdamer Unternehmen. Heute ist bei Christoph Miethke GmbH & Co. KG eine Atmosphäre spürbar, die von einem ausgeprägten, familiären Miteinander auf Augenhöhe, dem Vertrauen in die Mitarbeitenden sowie großem Engagement für die beruflicher Weiterbildung getragen wird. „Ein solcher Zusammenhalt schafft die Voraussetzung für Innovationsfreude.“ Besonders in der heutigen Zeit möchte Herr Miethke mit dieser ´offenen und toleranten Haltung des Miteinanders und mit seinem Engagement ein Zeichen in der Gesellschaft setzen‘. Dies beeindruckte unsere Jugendlichen sehr, die nach einem sehr abwechslungsreichen und spannenden Tag schon so viel von Eva Riek-Brand und Annika Malgowski sowie ehemaligen Auszubildenden über den Medizintechnikhersteller gehört hatten. So lernten sie die Funktionsweise des Produktes kennen, besichtigten Teilbereiche des Betriebes der Fertigung und Qualitätskontrolle, setzten sich mit Bewerbungsschreiben auseinander und erhielten wichtige Tipps, tauschten sich über ein Speed-Dating mit ehemaligen Auszubildenden aus unterschiedlichen Fachbereichen aus und krönten den dennoch kurzweiligen Tag mit einem nicht ganz ersten Wissen-Quiz. Dass Herr Miethke am Ende sogar vorbeigekommen ist, freute die STARTies besonders. Ich glaube, er war selbst positiv überrascht, welch‘ interessierte Fragen an ihn gerichtet wurden. START Career from the START-Stiftung gGmbH visited us today with 15 scholarship holders from Berlin, Brandenburg and Hamburg. The students had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the MIETHKE world and experience our products up close. They were also able to talk to our colleagues and former trainees and get to know our company even better on a tour.
