For the past three months, we’ve been fully immersed in crafting this brand identity for bárur therapy, a holistic practice blending osteopathy, yoga, and sound. Inspired by the theme of waves—reflecting the brand’s name in Old Norse—we delved deeply into the concept, exploring every nuance. This project was a chance to bring new forms of expression to life, including a watercolor key visual and an entirely new font (still in progress). We can’t wait to see these designs in printed form! The brand system includes multiple logo variations for readability and versatility across formats, alongside more, striking secondary logos and our custom-crafted brand signet. Capturing the full spectrum of a project like this on social media is a challenge, so we’ll be doing an in-depth case study on our website soon. Sometimes, I wonder if our process is too detailed or time-intensive. But seeing results like these, I’m reminded that this is exactly OUR way of designing. The Power of Sacred Symbols: The Story Behind the bárur therapy Signet The bárur therapy signet is more than just a logo—it’s a symbol of transformation, healing, and connection to universal energy. It combines the letters „b“ and „t“ to form a monogram, embodying a unique symbolic character through double mirroring. Its circles represent torus fields, symbolizing the flow of universal energy through the aura, a pattern central to creation. The overlapping circles, known as Vesica Piscis in sacred geometry, reflect the creative force of life, the Yoni, and the duality of light & shadow, inviting self-acceptance and Shadow Work as a path to personal growth. Inspired by Viking symbols and Nordic culture, the signet also resembles a rune, connecting to hidden wisdom. Its botanical essence and vertical form evoke a tree, symbolizing growth, grounding, and the brand’s deep connection to nature and sustainability. The open half-circles offer a sense of being held while providing freedom to unfold, creating an inviting and inclusive design. The signet can also abstractly represent sound bowls or a person playing them, connecting it to sensory work. Traditionally, masks were used for protection and as tools for transformation, which adds a magical, intuitive touch to the signet’s handmade and creative essence.
