Just wrapped up an inspiring two-day General Assembly for the #Recirculate project in Istanbul! Big thanks to our hosts Ford Otosan and DHL Supply Chain for a productive event at the Ford Otosan Sancaktepe R&D Center and MEXT Innovation Center. The Recirculate team explored the progress made over the past 18 months in SoX characterisation, battery traceability, smart logistics, dismantling automation, and more as we work towards a sustainable future for second life EV batteries. This collaboration places TEMSA at the forefront of transparency in the battery supply chain. Operating in over 70 markets, TEMSA is dedicated to smart and sustainable mobility. By 2030, they anticipate 50% of revenue from EVs, aligning with their commitment to regulatory leadership and environmental responsibility. Volker Kruempel, Co-Founder of Minespider, presented the RMR consortium’s work at the International Industry Engagement Workshop on IoT The Raw Material Radar (RMR) Consortium, funded by EIT RawMaterials, is working hard to make responsible and fair artisanal mining possible in Western Africa. The project combined the complementary expertise of four organizations - Fondazione Bruno Kessler - FBK, ECTerra, HIT - Hub Innovazione Trentino, and Minespider to help build trust in African mining with the help of technologies and showcased the first successes today. Volker presented the technology solution and told how blockchain and IoT can work together and foster responsible mining.
