Info
Mint Medical abides by the tenet of no data being left behind on the image Mint Medical is a global MedTech company specialized in software solutions for structured reporting and data-driven radiology and one of the key enablers of personalized medicine. Since 2010, Mint Medical has been developing and marketing mint Lesion™, the technologically leading software solution for a standardized and computer-assisted review of imaging and clinical data according to defined protocols, guidelines, and workflows in the context of research and clinical routine. Right from the start, we were motivated by the idea that image reading and reporting software should be more than just a digital replacement for a lightbox, ruler, dictation device, and forms. Operating in an interactive and dynamic dialogue with the user, mint Lesion™ provides an assisted data capture through context-knowledge in easy-to-use software. Our vision is to present users with all the information that is important in the context of their particular work task in the best possible way, with the software taking on the role of a cognitive assistant that knows and promptly provides everything relevant. By evaluating context-specific parameters, its artificial intelligence (AI) operationalizes information meaningfully and dynamically generates ideal reading workflows. Mint Medical became a wholly owned Brainlab subsidiary in March 2021 and continues to operate from its offices in Heidelberg, Germany and Hamilton, NJ, USA.

Standardized Reporting for #Sarcomas: A Conversation with Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Kunz Sarcomas are a rare and complex group of tumors, making their diagnosis and treatment particularly challenging. Within the framework of the Bavarian Oncological Radiology Network (BORN), efforts are underway: experts like PD Dr. Wolfgang G. Kunz are developing standardized reporting templates at LMU Klinikum München to improve cancer care. In our recent interview, Prof. Kunz discusses the importance of tailored templates for sarcoma subtypes and the critical role of standardized data collection and reporting. 🔗 Read the full interview to learn how these efforts are shaping the future of cancer care in Bavaria: https://bit.ly/3BZ2zy7 💡 About the BZKF BORN Project: Launched in August 2022, the BORN project aims to improve cancer care across Bavaria through standardized imaging and reporting, creating a unified research environment benefiting both patients and healthcare professionals. #SarcomaAwareness #CancerResearch #BZKF #BORNProject #StandardizedReporting Bayerisches Zentrum für Krebsforschung (BZKF)

🎗️ Let’s talk about #LiverCancer 🎗️ Primary liver cancer begins in the liver, a vital organ responsible for over 500 vital functions, including detoxifying the blood, processing nutrients, and storing essential vitamins and minerals. The main types of primary liver cancer are: 🎗️ Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), accounting for 85-90% of liver cancer cases. 🎗️ Cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer), which makes up about 15% of cases. 🎗️ There are also some rare forms of primary liver cancer. This October, join us for #LiverCancerAwarenessMonth as we raise awareness about risks and prevention. What you can do this month: 🔍 Learn the risk factors: Liver cirrhosis, hepatitis infections, heavy alcohol use, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), age, and smoking are among the risks of developing liver cancer. 💪 Support awareness: Share this post to spread the word about the importance of early screening. 🤝 Connect with experts: Talk to your doctor or loved ones about liver health and the importance of regular check-ups. 📚 Use of Multiparametric MRI in Prostate Cancer Treatments 📚 🩺 This prospective study conducted by Dr. Olga Solyanik, Dr. Maria Apfelbeck, and colleagues investigates the effectiveness of vascular-targeted photodynamic therapy (VTP) and high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) in the treatment of localized #ProstateCancer. 🧍♂️ Using multiparametric #MRI (mpMRI), ten patients were monitored over the course of one year to track anatomical changes and potential tumor recurrence. 💡 The results show that mpMRI reliably captures changes in prostate and tumor volumes, with an initial increase in prostate volume, followed by a significant reduction after one year. A recurrence was detected in one patient. 👉 Read more about the study here: https://bit.ly/3Y87mEy Get updates on expert insights and the latest studies using #mintLesion™ to transform medical research by following #ResearchWithMint. October is dedicated to raising awareness about #BreastCancer, but there's another critical women's health issue that needs more attention: #Endometriosis. Both endometriosis and #Adenomyosis are significantly under-researched conditions affecting countless women, with their pain often dismissed as "just menstrual pain." If left untreated, endometriosis can even lead to #Infertility. But the issue is finally getting the attention it deserves. Let us introduce you to RACOON FADEN: We had the privilege of speaking with Prof. Dr. sylvia mechsner (Charité - University Medicine Berlin) and Prof. Dr. Matthias May (Universitätsklinikum Erlangen) about the RACOON FADEN project, which focuses on the early detection of adenomyosis. This project addresses a crucial gap in diagnosing and treating women with severe menstrual pain. Using #MRI scans, the study aims to detect early signs of adenomyosis and deepen our understanding of healthy uterine morphology. The interview also sheds light on the existing infrastructure of the RACOON - Radiological Cooperative Network, the radiology cooperation of the Netzwerk Universitätsmedizin (NUM). 🔗 Read the full interview here: https://bit.ly/3NoPv7o Thank you to Prof. Mechsner and Prof. May for sharing their time and insights with us. #RACOONFADEN #RACOON #MedicalResearch #WomensHealth DKFZ German Cancer Research Center Fraunhofer MEVIS

🎗️ October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎗️ In 2022, breast cancer was the most prevalent form of cancer among women in most countries worldwide. Whether it’s a family member, friend, or colleague, showing support to those battling breast cancer can make a huge difference. Early detection saves lives, and one of the most important steps is self-examination. The Bayerisches Zentrum für Krebsforschung (BZKF) has recently published a helpful graphic on how to check your own breast. Take a moment to explore it here: https://bit.ly/4gJqpOf It’s also important to note that although men and those assigned male at birth typically don’t undergo mammograms, they can still develop breast cancer. If any breast lumps are noticed, it’s crucial to consult a doctor. While the most common cause of breast lumps in men is gynecomastia, a noncancerous condition, vigilance is key. #Pinktober #BreastCancer #EarlyDetection #BreastCancerAwareness Sources: [1] https://lnkd.in/deUKJGp [2] https://lnkd.in/gMvH86DD [3] https://lnkd.in/etpVpWV
