During the vibrant cocktail reception, guests discovered the capsule collection’s five key pieces co-designed in close and active partnership by Montblanc Artistic Director Marco Tomasetta and Zinédine Zidane. The Maison pays tribute to legendary alpinist Reinhold Messner on his 80th birthday with a limited edition 1858 Geosphere 0 Oxygen Chronograph. Considered one of the world's greatest high-altitude mountaineers, Messner was the first to climb all 14 of the world’s over 8,000-meter peaks. He was also the first to climb Mount Everest without supplemental oxygen, an inspiration for fellow alpinists. Encased with no oxygen inside to eliminate fogging in harsh climates and prevent oxidation, this timepiece features a red sfumato glacier dial that captures the texture of this glacial ice frozen in time for millennia.
