🎙 The Climate Action 101 podcast episode on NAPs and Climate Finance is out! In collaboration with UNDP, this episode explores the role of Climate Disaster Risk Finance and Insurance (CDRFI) as an effective tool for climate adaptation. At #COP29, the United Nations University - Institute for Environment and Human Security (UNU-EHS) will host a capacity-building event, "Bridging the Finance Gap for National Adaptation Plans (NAPs) with Climate and Disaster Risk Finance." This session will focus on building capacity to address gaps and needs in accessing finance for NAPs and integrating CDFRI into NAPs. 🌍 MCII Worldwide: Climate Risk Adaptation and Insurance in the Caribbean 🌍 At MCII, we are dedicated to making a global impact through projects aimed at enhancing climate resilience and disaster preparedness. Today, we share with you the Climate Risk Adaptation and Insurance in the Caribbean (CRAIC) project. CRAIC seeks to address climate change, adaptation and vulnerability by promoting weather-index based insurance as a risk management instrument in the Caribbean. Given that CRAIC was one of the first projects of its kind in the region, it was designed as a project focused on learning and continuous improvement.
