Kick-off in Bonn: International Climate Protection Fellowship Begins! Today in Bonn, we had the honour of attending the launch event for this year’s International Climate Protection Fellows of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation! A truly inspiring start to an important journey: At natureplus e.V., we are proud to be a scientific host organisation and to support Thaiane Maciel working on innovative solutions for plastic waste reduction. With a strong track record of tackling pollution on Brazil’s beaches, she is now taking her expertise further—exploring ways to turn plastic waste into construction materials. Her research contributes to: 🏠 Sustainable construction in disaster-prone areas ♻️ Reducing dependence on raw materials 🌊 Combating plastic pollution at the source 🚀 Advancing a Circular Economy Beyond research, the programme fosters collaboration, international exchange, and real-world impact—connecting experts and changemakers from around the globe!
