    We all know how important it is for startups in research-phase to connect with their customers themselves to understand their challenges. Well, getting those conversations started with busy creators has been harder than we ever imagined... But that’s a story for another day. What’s equally important, and sometimes even overlooked, is talking to the end users—in our case the fans and followers who will be using the platform. These are the people who will be signing up, participating, and bringing the product to life. So, how do you find the right people? Where do you reach them? How do you get them excited enough to participate? We had a lot of ideas but none seemed to hit the mark... until Gamescom came up. Suddenly, it clicked. Gamescom was the perfect place to find our target audience and get real feedback. But we didn’t want to do it in some dry, traditional way. We wanted it to be authentic. We decided to go all-in and do it the creator way. Partnering with Maximilian Hedrich, David Renken, Samed Özkaya and Batuhan Özer, we set up street-style interviews on the Gamescom floor. All together, they spoke with 60 people, capturing authentic feedback in a fun and engaging way. Here’s what really surprised us: we thought that signing up to a platform to collect points and redeem rewards would feel like a hassle for users, but they were totally on board with it. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive! We even ran a raffle, giving everyone who took part the chance to win a 100€ gift code of their choice. 🙌 This whole experience reminded us—no matter the problem, there’s always a creative way around it. Sometimes, all it takes is a bit of authenticity and thinking outside the box. Special s/o to Maximilian, David, Samed and Batuhan for the amazing work!     Gamescom '24 in the books ✅ Back to work after a mad week with NClip at this year's gamescom and what can I say - it couldn't have been better. Let's crunch the numbers: - 4 days at the event - met with 25 creators and agencies/managements - 40 new signups for our beta - interviewed 92 creator fans - 20 hours of sleep - ate 5 pretzels - drank an undisclosed amount of beer - took 5 different meds to make it through (I got sick after day 1...) - 0 regrets The feedback for NClip was better than we could have wished for! After talking to so many incredible creators it's safe to say that the Creator Economy is stronger than ever. The industry is constantly maturing and even newcomers understand that they are not only entertainers but building brands and businesses. And they do it together with their communities. Our mission with NClip is to give creators the tools they need to foster meaningful interactions, reward loyalty, and transform their communities into sustainable growth.     ❌ More followers won't get you better brand deals !!! ❌ A huge misconception for creators starting out is that they'll be rich if they grow their channel to "insert random number here" subscribers or followers. While this sounds logical, it's only one side of the coin. Followers are important to show that you can reach a wider audience, but this isn't what counts the most today. Here’s what brands are looking for when collaborating with creators: ➡ Demographics: Who is the audience? Does it fit the brand? Are they likely to buy the product? ➡ Quality Content: High-quality, consistent, and visually appealing content that aligns with the brand’s values. ➡ Brand Safety: Maintaining a positive and safe online presence is crucial. Brands avoid creators involved in controversies or negative publicity. And most importantly... ➡ Engagement Metrics: This is the most important factor. Brands want to know if the followers are just shallow viewers or if the creator has an engaged audience. 📈 Why Engagement Matters More: Imagine two creators, both with 100,000 followers. Creator A has an engagement rate of 10%, meaning their posts get around 10,000 interactions (likes, comments, shares). Creator B has an engagement rate of 1%, with only 1,000 interactions. Brands value Creator A more because an engaged audience is more likely to trust the creator’s recommendations and make a purchase. Higher engagement means better ROI for the brand’s marketing spend.
