Wie gelingt Innovation? Hemmt die KI-Regulierung den Fortschritt oder birgt sie sogar eine Wettbewerbschance? Das waren Kernfragen auf der 2. Innovative Leaders Konferenz auf dem Bosch-Forschungscampus in Renningen, veranstaltet durch das F.A.Z.-Institut mit dem KI Bundesverband. Mein persönliches Highlight unter einer interessanten Mischung an Vorträgen und Diskussionen war das Interview von Patrick Bernau mit Dr. Stefan Hartung, dem Vorsitzenden der Geschäftsführung der Robert Bosch GmbH. Der strahlte die Lust an der Forschung aus, ohne die vermutlich nichts Großes entsteht. Wir haben uns gefreut, unter 175 Einreichungen mit PINKTUM zu den Finalisten des KI-Innovation Award zu zählen, mit dem herausragende KI-Projekte ausgezeichnet wurden. Mein Kollege Christian Hencke und ich waren deshalb in Renningen dabei. With 23-43 degrees of joint freedom, it’s incredibly agile and versatile. 🔋 Equipped with a 13-string lithium battery and an 8-core CPU, the G1 runs for about 2 hours. It also features over-the-air updates and learning capabilities through Unitree Robotics's advanced #UnifoLM system. 🥊 The G1’s compact, 77-pound frame houses all wiring internally, making it durable and easy to transport. #𝐀𝐢𝐎𝐫𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐀𝐢: 𝐂𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐀𝐈 𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐭 𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞 🤖 Mentee Robotics has unveiled its first bipedal #humanoid #robot prototype. This prototype integrates advanced artificial intelligence capabilities, enabling it to understand and execute natural language commands, which sets the foundation for its operational functionality. 🌐 The Mentee humanoid robot leverages a simulation-to-reality (#Sim2Real) machine learning method for motion control, allowing it to train in a virtual environment and apply learned behaviors in the real world efficiently. It also uses #NeRF-based methods for dynamic #3D scene mapping and cognitive path planning to navigate and interact with its environment effectively. 🗓 The production-ready prototype of the Mentee humanoid is expected to be released in the first quarter of #2025. The robot is designed for both household and industrial applications, capable of performing tasks like table setting, cleanup, and laundry in domestic settings, and item retrieval and transport in warehouses, supporting loads up to 25 kg. 🗣 I find it as a really nice development in the industry.
