The meeting between Erik Ny, Esben Hansen and René Høltzermann at the Skånes universitetssjukhus (Skåne University Hospital) in Malmö (Sweden) a few days ago, offered some interesting insights into #automated #intralogistics systems such as their functioning and benefits, the shipment of different materials including blood samples, IT configuration, and other information on the implementation of these innovative solutions. Optimised management of material and information #flows has a significant impact on the intralogistics organisation of hospitals. Advanced technology such as Oppent automated vehicles is a fundamental component of this. Specifically, mobile robots inside the Swedish #hospital are responsible for transporting food, medicine, linen, waste and mail to the different areas of the large building. The fleet consists of #36 #mobile #robots that everyday deliver around 25,000 #textiles, 1,500 portions of #food, 120 #parcels and around 4 tonnes of #waste to the different areas of the hospital. In the future, from examples such as the Skåne University Hospital in Malmö, many more realities will be able to discover the many advantages of Oppent #efficient and #reliable automated transport solutions.
