So, you might have noticed us talking about it once or twice before... but we’re pretty darn keen on doing right by both the #environment and our local #community. 🌐In a nice turn of events our latest green initiative involved them both! 🤝 Over the last week of 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿, we set some time aside to do a number of “𝘦𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘴𝘶𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘳” 𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘯 𝘶𝘱𝘴 around our #hotels. We dug out the high vis and the litter pickers and got to cleaning! 💪 It’s always good to do something nice (and important!) and it’s even better when it increases the spirit and bonding within the #team. 🤙 𝘼 𝙗𝙞𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙠𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙋𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖 𝙏𝙚𝙖𝙢!😘 #sustainability #hospitality #pentahotels #pentaloveyou #savetheplanet #earthdayeveryday #endplastics

𝘿𝘼𝙉’𝙎 𝙑𝙄𝙀𝙒 🙋♂️ Today’s topic as you can probably ascertain from the snazzy graphic, is about bikes.🚲 #Cycling, #biking, #bicycling, #riding the ol’ two wheels (𝘰𝘳 𝘧𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘪𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘮𝘦 𝘶𝘱 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘨𝘦 23 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢 𝘩𝘢𝘭𝘧). Whatever you want to call it, basically just letting the chain rip and feeling the fresh air against your face. 🌀It’s a wonderful feeling, isn’t it?🤙You’re getting from A to B faster than you could walk, it’s FREE, you are doing something good for the environment 𝗔𝗡𝗗 it’s good for 𝗬𝗢𝗨.👌 I have to admit I wasn’t much of a #cyclist until I moved to #Germany, and honestly, I’m still not really.😑 You won’t catch me shaving my legs or squeezing into a pair of Lycra pants (𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦’𝘴 𝘢𝘯 𝘶𝘯𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘭𝘭) 𝗕𝗨𝗧 my day-to-day has completely transformed: ▶ Pop down the shops? Bike it. ✅ ▶ Meeting friends? I’m late because I had to stop and look at my phone because I got lost. ✅ ▶ Going out for food? You better believe the calories I’m burning on the way there and back are justification to eat as much as possible. ✅ I think my conversion to the church of cycle is down to a few different factors. 👉 I grew up in the #UK, so there’s the rain and the lack of quality cycle paths for one, also one time when I was a kid I was riding my bike home from school and a giant lorry drove past, blowing a folder of my work up into the air. 😔 The folder then opened at the highest point, scattering my work across the road. 𝗕𝗘𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗘 you ask, the folder was too big to fit in my backpack, and 𝗬𝗘𝗦 even so it was still dumb to hang it on the handlebars. 😇 Anyway, I’m sure you aren’t here to hear about how I failed Graphic Design, 𝗕𝗨𝗧 you are more than welcome to use that as a “dog ate my homework” implausible excuse next time you haven’t done something at work… SEE this IS #LinkedIn appropriate content after all. WORK HACK. 🤗 Anyway #2, I should probably get back to writing about hotel stuff now. Which reminds me, we’re actually encouraging people to cycle to our hotels more as part of our efforts to make #travel greener, which is part of our wider plan for a more sustainable future, which I think is VERY NICE. 🌱 🅟.🅢. Last week we launched our second ever (𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘶𝘢𝘭 𝘯𝘰𝘸, 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵?)
