*British Heart Foundation flatlines Coronation Street’s iconic theme tune to raise awareness of heart disease research* On Sunday evening, PHD partnered with ITV Media to bring together British Heart Foundation and the UK’s longest-running soap, Coronation Street, for a first-of-its-kind media activation to raise awareness for heart disease research. Following the heart attack storyline of long-standing character Gail Platt, Coronation Street’s iconic end credit theme tune was dramatically changed with the sound of a flatlining heartbeat and an important message from the BHF highlighting the charity’s vital research into prevention, diagnosis, and treatment to help more people, like Gail, live longer and healthier lives. Today our team had a session on the topic of Sustainable Procurement and Events led by Ninoksha D. from ABG. As part of our commitment to Ad Net Zero we’re tackling Action Point 1 to reduce emissions from our business operations, as well as Action Point 4 to reduce emissions through awards and events. Over the years, we’ve implemented many initiatives to reduce our carbon emissions and natural resources. This also cascades to our business partners, who we request to follow our supplier code of conduct when coming into our building for meetings and roadshows with our people. We’re now learning how these efforts need to be publicly reported to Ad Net Zero as well as to the Government when the new UAE law comes into play next year.
