Last weekend, we had an amazing time with the team during our yearly phelas retreat! 🌟 Although the challenges of getting a good location and engaging activities for our growing team, our events organizer Carolina Pinto Correia nailed it again. Nothing better than cold swims in the lake 🏊🏻, campfires when it gets cold 🪵 and sharing meals together. As the autumn is seriously kicking off, we are reflecting on the last sunny month for phelas. 🌞 These were our phelas' highlights for September : 1/ We had two new starters joining us : - Muhammed Sharaf has joined the Catalyst team as a working student. He's currently finishing his Master's degree at Passau. Outside of work you'll find him at the padel court or planning his next trip 🏓 - Tya has joined the Catalyst team as well! She's a Software Engineer with over 6 years of experience in web development, especially front-end tech. When she's not coding, you might catch her brainstorming AI projects or researching the latest in climate change solutions 🌱 2/ Traditionally in September, we went to visit the Wiesn grounds and might have drunk one or two beers together.

🌍 100% renewable energy: Is it possible without limitations? 🌍 Many people wonder if we will run out of energy if we rely solely on renewables. This common concern suggests that we would have to restrain ourselves when using 100% renewable energy, but that belief is absolutely false! 🪫Currently, we are heavily dependent on finite fossil fuels like coal and petroleum, which will eventually run out. As our reserves dwindle, the urgency for a sustainable energy transition becomes clear. 🔋The good news is that renewable energy sources, particularly solar and wind, are abundant and can meet our energy demands.
