Quantum technology for secure communication! The #QuNET initiative recently reached a major milestone with a successful quantum key distribution experiment. This milestone demonstrated highly secure key exchange over a six-node network - an important step towards a quantum-based, eavesdropping-resistant communication infrastructure for government and critical infrastructure in Europe. We're proud to support QuNET as part of the QuNet Reconnaitre and QuNet BlueCert projects: 🔹 QuNet Reconnaitre: The project partners are developing low-cost, low-maintenance quantum receivers, making quantum key exchange technology accessible for practical applications. 🔹 QuNet BlueCert: The project focuses on establishing a certification scheme for quantum communication solutions, creating standards for evaluating quantum technologies. These criteria are essential for the safe deployment of quantum technology in critical areas. Together with our QuNET partners, we're advancing Europe's technological sovereignty and setting new standards for communication security 🌍 Read more about the latest experiment here: https://lnkd.in/ePpM8GMb Read more about the QuNet initiative here: https://lnkd.in/eN_kHZjj Pixel Photonics #QuantumCommunication #QuNET #Innovation #SecureCommunication #QuantumTechnology #SNSPD

++ English version ++ Photonic quantum computers require many high-quality photon detectors. Currently commercially available detectors are only suitable to a limited extent. Two prototypes that the Münster-based deep-tech startup Pixel Photonics delivered to our QuiX Quantum UPQC project - a photon detector integrated into photonic circuits and a 16-detector array efficiently connected using row-column multiplexing - show that this scaling obstacle can be overcome. https://lnkd.in/duG8EYkf
